Painful nipples

I have been plagued with painful nips throughout my pregnancy and although it did wear off they have come back again. I am having my LO next week and really want to breastfeed but is this a sign that they at are going to cause probs? Did anyone else have super sensitive nipples in pregnancy and go on to have problem free breastfeeding? I keep trying to convince myself that they are preparing themselves

mine have been the same.
skatty you could try getting some nipple cream from boots and rub it on them several times a day., This will not only soothe them but it will prepare them for feeding baby

you can use the cream when breastfeeding too after each feed to prevent ccracking although i never needed to do this.

id try it anyway. there is a cream you use before giving birth to prepare the nipples.
