Just wondering if anyone has experienced this,

I had Jack on 25th August with help from forceps, i had a spinal block and had a catheter fitted. I suffered all through the pregnancy with UTI's and was on a constant antibiotic. For the past few weeks the area where you wee from has been sore, sore to touch, sore to wee (not my normal UTI pain) and sore if i do my pelvic floor exercises. Has anyone had this before? Is it related to having the catheter or UTI's? I have been handing urine samples in to docs to check if the UTI's have cleared up (which they havent)

Me and Jack have our 6 week check up within the next week or 2 so will ask doc then.

Nichola xx

I had a catheter due to epidural and ventouse delivery. I found that area really tender for 2 weeks or so. Only just settling 18 days pp. worth a mention to the dr if its still bugging you tho Hun x

My area where i pee from aches, when i pee i feel like its going to fall off and sonetimes when stood up it aches, i also had a catheter fitted and forceps delivery, midwifes coming today so going to ask her if its normal, im 2 weeks pp, this kicked in about a week ago i thought it was maybe bruising coming outx

Yeah nat thats exactly what it feels like. Mine started about 3 weeks ago and im 4 weeks + 5 days pp. What did the midwife say? I thought it could be bruising. Xx

No probs! I wish it would go away!!! Saying that the amount if examinations i had up there i lost count of during labour, and they even stuck a catheter in whilst in labour to empty bladder as they thought thats why baby wasnt coming down! Then i told then i was pissing meself when pushing!haha then had catheter in after spinal so i can imagibe my poor parts are bruised!!x

I had a catheter fitted after labour as they suspected I had sepsis blood poisoning. I had exactly the same as above and it lasted for about 6 weeks. It still aches now and again but I remember being in agony in that area while pushing too. I had ventouse delivery which is less invasive than forceps - but keep doing the pelvic floor exercises as they will also help. Everything is completely back to normal now and has been for a few weeks.

Ah thank you for replying. Im glad its not just me this has happened too. Ill keep doing the exercises like you say. I have my 6 week check up on the 16th so if its no better by then ill mention it. I now have thrush down there too which is adding to the soreness :-(

Xx
