Pain thats WORSE than childbirth

I found heartburn a lot worse. I had really bad heartburn where I was crying then I had a horrible pain in my lower left back and I was then sick when I was pregnant. It lasted for the last 3 months or so.

That is more of a fear than the actual labour itself.

Lumbar Puncture came pretty close but it was a lot shorter.

i found the stitches alot worst than actually giving birth

I got run over by a car when I was 9

- I don't remember that hurting half as much as contractions and crowning.....But maybe I've just forgotten how painful breaking 5 bones in my ankle/foot was....It was 18 years ago!

nothing is worse :D xx

Probably true.

You would be amazed at how many women tell me that their tattoo hurt more than childbirth (I am a tattooist). I think they must just have forgotten!

I broke 3 toes when I was little and that fcukin hurt...I remeber it even more than breaking my wrist!

I fell backwards down a flight of stairs, dislocated my shoulder, and fractured the bone in 3 places and broke my ankle at the same time..the pain was imense and lasted months, so I am hoping if I dealt with that pain as well as I did, labour might not be that bad

ouch its sooooo sore i was on the loo jumping about like a nutter clenching onto the loo roll holder i wouldnt drink as i was scared of weeing.wit Harley it was not so bad as i never had stitched etc but with Dior i grazed. which is ment to me even more painful then tearing as grazes cant be stitched etc.

felt like i was peeing razor blades

About three weeks after giving birth I had really really sore nipples from breastfeeding, they were all cracked and weepy, you think this would be sore enough but no...

one day while getting dressed the strap of my nursing bra came unclipped and I got my hand caught in it, accidentally stetched it and snapped the plastic clip across my bare sore nipple... that was the worse pain I have ever experienced in my life!!!! Far far worse than contractions!!!!

Having an abscess in my mouth underneath a tooth whilst pregnant (hurt like hell) had it drained twice but difficult to get all infection out so eventually told them to take tooth out so they could drain it properly. And after gave birth second time had a huge abscess under my arm so that I could not put arm down or carryanything (it popped on its own) so basically I think hormones must cause abscess's for me.

after giving birth i got a womb infection and this hurt so much i couldnt stand i was crying in agony, i tried to get up to get to jakob cause he was crying and i fell over :(

Nothing I have ever felt is worse than contractions although I have IBS and the spasms I get with that come close.

i will second that gemz, i have ibs too and when it starts the pain is so bad i cant move at least contractions come and go. Changing the subject a bit i was in plymouth at weekend, lovely part of the country but 5 hrs away :( xxx

Thats my home town :D

Moved to Birmingham 2 yrs ago, its nice to see people still like it down there. :D

This is gonna sound really cheesy but for me the worst pain ever was seeing my husband lying in the road seriously injured after a motorbike accident. He had such bad injuries (I had listed them but just edited to prevent puking!) drifting in and out of consciousness and crying cos he thought he was gonna die. I have never experienced pain like that it was just horrendous cos I couldn't take it away from him. My labour was very long but I would go through all that again (and will do next July) rather than ever be in that situation again. And of course like everyone has said its all for a good cause!

(((((OvertheMoon))))) That would be awful! MY OH has just phoned up from Acre this am (He's in Israel on business) saying he didn't feel too good, which has got me so worried as he's diabetic. Thats is so minor in comparison compared to what you must have gone through, but I can imagine it must have been dreadful for you! Hope your OH made a full recovery and is doing brilliantly now

Yes thanks he had an op to put metal rods in his leg so he was wheelchair bound for a few months, but then he progressed to crutches and now he's walking fine (apart from limping now and again when its really cold) and his leg is like a barometer, he can tell when its going to rain!!! :rotfl:
Hope your OH is ok, its so hard when they're away you worry just that little bit more eh.

I was hospitalised with Gastrointeritis a few years ago and they actually thought I was in labour to begin with  because the pains were so much 'like' contractions' the way they were coming in waves. I wasnt even pregnant but they checked that out straight away.

I wouldnt wish that on anyone, I was pooping pure blood

I think this experience is part of why im so scared of the pain in childbirth and how its going to make me feel, cos if that pain was like contractions well, that made me feel ill
