Pain in right side - help please!

Hi guys, I'm 18 weeks, 2 days and it's my first pregnancy. About 5 days ago, I experienced a really strong pain in my right side, went from my front/side and to my back. No other symptoms. Today, I've got it again as it woke me up in the night. Again, no other symptoms, just this really strong pain that stops me sleeping. It lasted for a good hour or two last time and this time going on still after 40mins. Google tells me I could have a wide variety of things! Does it sound like round ligament pain? I'm concerned it could be my appendix but would it hurt 5 days ago then hurt again now? Or does it sound like something else? Thank you!

Didn’t want to read and run! If you’re unsure in any way, I’d get in with the doctors or ring your midwife. Good to be safe than sorry!

It’s probably just growing/stretching pains (there are so many weird pregnancy pains that they put down to growing pains). You’re at the point where your uterus is starting to get heavier and the muscles have to stretch to accomodate it now. If you’re worried give your midwife a call but it doesn’t sound too concerning x

I am 16 weeks pregnant and had a similar thing. I rang the midwife and she said it could be a UTI. I had an appointment with the nurse and she said it is all clear. She said that it is most likely just growing pains and I shouldn't worry.
Every pain worries me so much in pregnancy though!!
I am sure it is just growing pains, but ring the midwife/doctors for peace of mind
