apparently it's due to dialation and softening of the cervix to get ready for labour but boy is it painful - luckily each one only lasts a few seconds. If it lasted longer, I may have to do a C-section myself!!! feels like someone jabbing a knife up me

Same here my consultant has told me i have mild SPD - nothing to worry about though but jesus it hurts more when im turning over in bed at night xx

I've been getting this, stops me doing whatever im doing for a few seconds! At least I know it means something is happening towards getting ready for labour! xx
