Ovulation tests and clomid

Hi there,

I wonder if any one can help me. I am on my 4th month of clomid (I am ovulating on my own but fertility doc said it may give me a boost). Any way, I was around the mid way point last Friday so did an ovulation test (well a few) and got positives so made sure we did the deed loads
Any way, just out of curiosity I did another one this morn and it is positive again?? The last one I did was Monday evening and that was positive surely it wouldn't go on for a whole week? I'm not getting and CM any more so what could it be?
Keep wondering if my body has problems actually releasing the egg that's why I'm still getting a positive opk or does clomid effect it?
If any one could help I'd be really grateful. Thanks xxx

I've not been on it but I wonder if your bodies releasing a few eggs? Also, some women have said that an opk has shown as positive way past ovulation when actually they've been pregnant - could this be a possibility? I guess it's too early to tell depending on what cd your on?

Hi I'm on clomid too and the nurse advised not to use opks as clomid can mess about with them so they're not always accurate xx

That's useful to know. Is anyone having follicle tracking with clomid? We've been told that I will need scans and blood tests every other day for 6-8 days to make sure I haven't produced too many eggs! Sounds very time consuming!

Hi Blueflower, I was told to have one internal scan when I first started the clomid to check my follicles weren't being overstimulated but that's the only time they check unless they are increasing my dosage xx

Maybe its cos we're paying, ha ha!
Hopefully if they do it just on the 1st month and get the dose right they won't need to do it again after that.
