ovulation question - can you miss a month

I stated using the ov testing kits but stopped as I was getting different readings

like yes one test but then no on a nother the same day ect (they were only ebay

cheapies) lol

so I have been just looking for signs my body has if you get me.

we so far this month i have had none its confused me lol could I have just

missed the signs or totally missed ovulation altogether this month?

do you temp? have you had any cm? I have had the same problem this cycle, this week as well! my IC were not giving me a clear +, but just yesterday I started seeing more cm, so I am just making sure dh and I bd this week.

You may have just missed the surge of LH on the second test. For some women, LH surge may last only a few hours, that's why I test 2 - 3 times a day. Your first + was probably correct! Also the only way to be certain if you OV is by charting as your BBT which goes up after ovulation. Although it is too late by then, at least you know you ovulated which was a relief for me to know I was.

I'm 3DPO and AF due 29th. 9 days to go! Good luck to all you ladies.

I test 3 times a day sometimes 4. I hold my wee for about 3 hrs each time. I just couldnt get a clear positive, it was never same as or darker than the control line all my sticks look the same. It wasn't until yesterday that I saw ewcm like last month around my ov date...We did bd so I hope I didn't miss it....

Babyfever - That is annoying! I had a similar experience with some cheapies I bought from Saveontest, the line never went fully dark, however I also tested with some other brands and they gave me a definite positive. I think it depends on the tests. What brand do you use? ewcm is a pretty good sign. Are you charting? That should tell you if and when you are Ovulating. I only just started charting this month but have been relieved to find I have Ovulated. I also realized that I ovulate later than I thought in my cycle so no wonder we have not had our BFP. Fingers crossed for this month.

i dont temp test but I think I am going to start after my next af,

Hi Peach - I just started charting this month in conjunction with OPK and checking CM. Charting really helped me because it showed that I definitely ov which I was afraid I was not. It also showed me that I Ov later than I thought so DH and I have concentrated BD to the surrounding days. Takes the pressure off lol

Yeah I know what you mean, we make sure be bd around our ov but the other days are like eh whatever, that ttc for ya. I havent been temping everyday so all i have been relying on is opks and signs of cm. I finally say some ewcm yesterday night. So we def bd'ed.

I use wandfo one step IC. I went out yestday and bought a drug store brand of opks, that one looked like the IC which to me means ??? nothing I'm still unclear of when I ov'ed. I have loaded up pics and to me all my poas look the same. I really hope I didn't miss my surge, I have long cycles and I hate waiting....another reason why we havent gotten our bfp, as well we were bd'ing too early in my cycle.

Perhaps the old opk's were no good and you missed surge by time you used the new opk's? If AF arrives then I would suggest using the new brand of OPK next time, maybe even get a 3rd brand and test along side? But I would defin chart properly as it will tell you definitely if you have Ov. Only way to find out for sure. SO frustrating I know! I really don't know how I will get through next 9 days without obsessing! grrrrrr I wish I wouldn't think about getting a BFP so much!!!!

lol I hear ya! my af is due may 2nd, we have only(listen to me such a pessimist)bd'ed 3 times this week. I'm tired of ttc! I want to be pg already!!! grrr! i guess because I really don't understand temping I don't temp like I should.

peach you should sign up to fertilityfriend.com it gives you full instructions on how to do it and if you have a smart phone you can download their free app or record results online, then their software will calculate everything for you.. You basically need to invest in a BBT thermometer (good pharmacy should have it) and you take your waking temp each morning before you do anything else and at around the same time everyday. The time you take temp should be as consistant as possible and you must not even get out of bed until after you take the temp. No water either, no nothing. This will give you the most accurate results. Then over a cycle you will see when you ovulate and the best time ot BD. I swear if I hadn't started charting this month we would have BD far too early in my cycle (as on our previous months). SO it really helped me. But still 8 days to go til AF so will keep you all posted.

Peach, it's better if you buy a BBT special one if you can because they read 2 decimal points which gives a more accurate reading. If your digi one already has 2 decimal points then that's fab you can get started. xxx
