Ovulation question.. am a bit confused

Hi, am ttc after having a mc in Jan, my cycles have been a bit all over the place, but previously always had 28 day cycle. Last month was 27 days, so slowly getting there! Anyway, am currently on cycle day 10, did opk yesterday and the slightest of lines came up, so last nite bd, thinking that today line prob be stronger. So have just done test and line is still so so faint, BUT have some ewcm... Am really confused, should we bd again tonite? I know that ewcm will not be there tomorrow as it only with me for one day. Which to trust ewcm or opk? Many thanks x

SO sorry for your loss!

I would suggest you test at least twice a day because testing only once can mean you miss your surge. Sometimes, surges only last for a few hours (mine lasts about 6 hours only). My experience with OPKs are different depending on the brand. The cheapies never fully went dark for me but what I did was use them to determine when I got close. So when they were almost as dark as the control line (which was the darkest they ever got for me) was when I pulled out the expensive ones and lo and behold a + opk. But I tested 2-3 times a day with internet cheapies.

Keep testing and try to test twice a day if you can. Good Luck.

Oh and if you see ewcm then defin test and if in doubt BD a LOT!!! Just in case

Really sorry about your m/c hun.

Testing twice a day is a good idea. I think they advise on afternoons as being better for LH to build up. Zita west always advises to BD when you have EWCM as even if you're not due to ovulate until another couple of days, the cm is so fertile that it will keep those spermies alive for up to 5 days. I have had the same problem this cycle, no +opk but I did get some ewcm, so we bd'ed on those days. better safe than sorry.

ewcm is the best indicator by far. once you have had 3 days of dry up after a period of ewcm you cna safely assuem you have ovd. bear in mind the only way to confirm ov is by charting.
