OV advice please...Best way to check for it?

Hey Ladies, I'm currently CD9 and thought I'd start the OPK's again...so did one a couple of hours ago and there is a very faint line...now, I know some people have said that they have got faint lines all month on them when doing them but last month when I started doing them I didn't get any line until the week of OV, I'm just wondering why that would have changed and it would now seem I'm going to get lines all the way through? I am going to keep doing them and just wait and see if/when the line gets darker...
Also, I want to start checking for OV other ways too and not just rely on OPK's but I'm not sure of the best way to go...I always seem to get some form of EWCM so that is fine but was thinking of maybe starting to check my temps? Can I just get a normal thermometer for this and what exactly do I have to do?
What ways do you Ladies check for OV? Looking for some ideas so I can try and get it spot on this month!

Hey lovely I normally get cramps pains on a certain side from ov? Do you get any of those sighs??
Also okp I used them I got a faint line all way through and when ov hit a defo line!!! It was darker than control line and that was always about 5-7pm x x z

I always get confused Deborah and can never remember what BBT means, I think it stands for Basal Body Temperature but dont quote me on that!! Lol...

Thats what I'm hoping for Smess, that one day I'll just get a definite dark line so I'll know its the right time, thats what happened last month but I just didn't have the faint line this early...maybe I'm going to OV earlier or something?! I do tend to get cramps too but to be honest I always seem to get cramps all the way through my cycle so I dont think I'd be 100% if I went by that too...

I didnt had any ewcm this month but did have cramps on my lower right side which is the same thing I had last month, so my plan for this month was to just bd every other day so I have a constant supply of swimmers in there ready to pounce...... now I wait hoo hum!!!

There is a way of checking your cervix with your fingers but I havent tried that one yet.
