Does everyone get this?
When feeding from one boob, the other one drips like a tap, I haven't managed so far to get through a day with the same top/bra on from the mess. I do plan to venture outside my house one day and if I'm brave enough breastfeed somewhere other than the safety of my sofa and want to know how other people cope with this please........?

i learnt the hard way, take a spare t shirt with you and a good supply of breast pads! also the cups that collect the milk are good by avent. but i never used them out and about.
I used to sit there with a cup under one boob and the baby on the other :rotfl: what a sight!!

Yes - I definitely remember this happening! Stock up on those breast pads!

I run like a tap! I never knew breatfeeding would be so messy

Hurrah, once again I discover I am not a freak! Thanks ladies :)
Yep I to sit there with a collecting cup on one boob and a baby on the other :rotfl:
I will have very odd shaped boobs though, 1 breast pad is just not enough!!!

Which breast pads are you using? I find the tommee tippee ones the best.

yep i was the same, it will calm down soon :)

I also had the same problem, and used to go though loads of booby pads, when i was out and about, just used to take lots of spares with me- like cassi said don't worry because it eventually does calm down!

I used the avent cups when i was at home and use to collect 2-5oz of milk during the day-i used to then frezze it and let DH feed Mia at the weekend, to give me a break. It's surprising how much you get from just drips!!

:D Me too!!It's a good sign, shows you are producing milk.I use those avent reusable pads :D

I also have boobs like milk taps. I normally have to change Jake after feeding him as he is soaking wet and I havn't wore just one top and bra all day yet since having him. My midwife said it should be better after a couple of weeks as your body will start to supply just the right amount of milk for your baby. It is so embaressing though if you go anywhere and I think so far I have gone throught about 120 breast pads and have bought washable ones but to be honest I think they are all crap.

Gemz thats sounds about right! Baby ends up soaked if I haven't got my collecting cup to hand, which I usually forget  I managed to get through the day in the same top yesterday, which I feel is an achievement! Breast pads are rubbish, I am doubling them up at the moment and look like I have square boobs. I use the washable ones, I don't think I could afford disposable ones at the rate I'm going! The thing that REALLY irritates me is I have 2 nursing bras, and they are constantly in the washing machine, if I get one of those wet its soggy boobs for the day as the other one is in the washing machine. I suppose I could buy more but they are so expensive!
Thanks for the reassurance it will calm down, in the mornings I feel like a cow!
