OPKs for working women

Hi, I have a bit of a dilemma at the minute. I work Monday - Friday. Usually leave the house at 7am and get home around 4pm. When I take an OPK on a weekend throughout the day I seem to get a really strong line (I have tried over a few months and this seems to be a common pattern) however when I test on a weekday when I get in from work (as I've read not to use FMU on OPKs) they are always very faint lines. Could this be something to do with the fact that when I'm at work all day I drink lots of water and therefore my urine is a lot more diluted??
There's been months (including this 1) where I'm sure I'm ovulating on a week day due to other symptoms but the OPKs are coming back with faint lines. I have read a lot of bad reviews about them too so just wanted to know your thoughts.
I am in my 2nd month of charting too so hopefully that will give me a better idea of my body and when ovulation is actually occuring.

I work M-F just like you and drink lots of water. It never affected my ovulation test. Are you testing twice a day? Sometimes I test at work so I don't miss it and once again when I get home. You could have a short surge.

I don't test at work. Only at 4pm when I get in. But test at 4pm on a weekend and they seem to work fine then! I am just using the cheap ones though. May try different ones from next month. What brand do you use?

I don't test at work. Only at 4pm when I get in. But test at 4pm on a weekend and they seem to work fine then! I am just using the cheap ones though. May try different ones from next month. What brand do you use?

I use the Easy at home ones from Amazon. I love them.

I have found fmu works fine for me. Maybe consider testing in the morning?

Tested this morning and still negative. My temperature hasn't risen either so could just be that I still haven't ovulated!
