How good do you think opks are?
Started using them for the first cycle last month. Got a +ve cd21 then period came d28 so a bit odd. Then this month I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating today - have ewcm,cervix open (tmi), bloating and right sided pains and still neg opk cd 19!
I'm just wondering how sensitive they actually are.
I didn't use them when I was ttc my son - just went with ewcm and midcycle timing

Hi there,

I used the Ebay and CB OPK when TTC my dauther and they both worked fine, I would always get positive around day 17 and once day 13 (that was when we conceived).

We have just started ttc no 2 and I have been doing opk again for the past 3 months (only Ebay opk) and they seem to be working ok again.

I know some people do get positive later on in they cycyle. Maybe carry on for another couple of months to see if a pattern developes?

I found that Clear Blue advanced 4 day opks were better for me as I get the go ahead just before ovulation, whereas on the cheapie strips I often actually get the pos just after ovulation. Probably checking your EWCM, cervix, etc is pretty accurate. I can usually feel when I'm about to ovulate now because of the pressure and aching. Trust your body.
