ok so .. the test line has to be either the exact same color of the control line to be positive.. OR darker!
if it's almost the same color. you might wanna take another test a bit later the same day or the next day..
never on a first morning urine and always try to hold your pee in for at least 2h and minimize drinking liquids in that time. then pee on the test
and yes they always or most of the time have to lines.. don't work like pregnancy tests at all.. a faint line is a negative, and also a visible line it's also a negative .. i'll try to post a photo of my opk's this month to show you how it's different i have them lined up in my log book =)
I seeeee, okay thanks so much napoli i'm starting them tomorrow and was thinking what is the point if i cant even understand them. I guess we just always have some of the hormone in our systems so it picks it up?!
You may notice the 2nd line gets darker as you approach ov, then there's a surge which is your positive if it's the same or darker as the 1st (control) line. I sometimes have only 1 line on my test if ov isn't near but then I will see it faint until I get my positive.
It is detecting a surge in the LH hormone which triggers ovulation, a positive test indicates that ovulation is 12-36 hours away x
For some people that could be as close to a positive as they get. And dtd now may still count as the sperm live for 5 days... keep going with the tests and bd'ing! x
