OPK faint lines

How many hours/days do you girls usually get a faint line on n OPK before a positive? I've had a faint line since last night, but I can't remember how long I usually get one for before it turns positive. I'm just wondering when to expect a positive. I reckon it will be tonight or tomorrow. Then I usually ov about 24 hours after the first positive I get.

I thought you always got a faint line regardless of when you do the test but then I could be wrong. I think when you have a positive the line has to be as dark as the control line, but then i never was very good with these tests

Some get a faint line everyday on those tests, but I usually have no line at all and then a faint line for a while before I get a dark line.

I've just been looking at my past threads and going by them, I usually get a faint line for about 24 hours and then a dark line for about 12 hours. Right, off to work it out then, lol...

I've never had a dark line. I tested everyday, twice a day, and got a faint line then a slightly darker than faint line the next day, then nothing again, so took that as my surge before ov.

Sometimes I would miss my surge if I only tested twice a day, as I only get a dark line for about 12 hours, but now I'm testing 4 times a day, I usually catch it.

Have I worked this out right?:

Faint line Sun night for 24 hours
Positive Mon night for 12 hours
Ovulate 24 hours after last positive - weds morning.

That's only a rough idea though, cos it could vary every month.

I'd take it from the positive Monday night, but you can ovulate 12 to 36 hours after, so go from Tuesday to Wednesday night hun.

Hi Hun i have done thesa opks for years now dred to think of the money
I have spent on thesa things Thesa opk kits always have a faint line no matter what
this does not mean you are ovulating as soon as the second line is strong and not faint
this means you are about to ovulate and will do about 12hrs later

When you get a positive opk if you read the back of the box it says this does not mean that your egg
has come out it means its about to very soon so thats why you have to get in that bedroom
and get going lol i ended up using the clearblue opk kit digital machine and comes with 7 sticks
thesa was a bit pricey at £18 they will have gone down now in price cause that was a while back
thesa are more accurate to use they give you a smiley face like this when ovulating
and just O like this if your not ready yet ..

I find that the step strips are so confusing and many ladies start ttc when they see a faint line
thinking there ovulating when there not and end up missing there ovulation time
try the clear blue opk hun good luck hope you get that bfp soon

I think it says on the ebay ones that you ovulate 24-36 hours after a positive test.

hi,
have only used them for 2 months now but last cycle i got a faint line followed by darker the next followed by faint again the day after (i didn't get any 2nd line any other day) i also temped which confirmed i ovulated the day after the darker test so for me i ovulated 2 days after faint line!!! but i guess everyones different!
i got a faint line today so hopefully will be ovulateing thurs. plan to bd everyday now for a week (if we can manage that!!) also bought preseed which i think i will try out tonight !!!
