ooh is this normal?!

Little one's been very active lately and giving me lots of kicks which doesn't really hurt...was sitting down about 10 mins ago and I felt this really sharp twinge where I think her hands normally are...it didn't hurt, but it made me jump and felt really odd is that just a normal baby movement? xxx

yep totaly hun, sometimes it can really sting cant it
i think they kick a nerve or something

Yes - totally normal...I've had movements that made me feel really dizzy as though my whole body was affected - prob when they kick a nerve or a blood vessel too. I had movements with Naomi that felt as though she was pulling the umbilical cord, which were quite startling, they felt like really strong tugs! I know baby plays with the cord at times, but when I asked the obstetrician he laughed and said - no - baby would never be strong enough to pull the cord so hard that it would hurt!

BUT three years later I still remember that sensation and it was not pleasant at all!

yep lol quite often i'm busy doing something and it takes me by supprise like said before probaly baby kickking a nerve
