OMG what if i do something wrong

Ive just had a thought, what if i do something wrong in labour and i harm my baby..

Is this a general worry or am i been paranoid, i just saw a comment on TRI2 about a girl who lost her first baby due to complications during labour..

what can i do to stop these feelings

I can't think of anything you could possibly do wrong to harm your baby! I went to my antenatal class today and.. It was very reassuring. Your body knows exactly what to do, it is designed to do that, even if you think you don't have a clue what you're doing, your body does. Of course there might be some complications during labour but it is not because you are doing something wrong! Your body will naturally and automatically do what is best for your baby!xx

thank you, that makes me feel better.. im sure the doctors are great and if anything goes wrong they are there to do everything they can x

We all have these fears darling - its only natural but like Berit87 says... your body is going to know exactly what to do! I bet you surprise yourself!! x

Yup we got them sweetie!! I think I've worried about every possibility - I think it's just the start of being a mum! Non stop worrying xxxx

I've got nothing more to add to what the others have said but wanted to just agree with them and reassure you that if something does go wrong in labour it won't be anything you have done or anything you could of done to stop it x big big hugs x

That's what we are here for! It's best to talk about your fears beforehand and be calmer once you are in labour! I know it is easier said than done (and trust me, I am terrified too!) but just try and go with your intuition - once you go into labour your body will start producing adrenaline (which is what helps you survive) and you will capable of doing things you never thought you could! You will be fine and so will your baby! xx

thank you, its crazy how im hearing from ladies that have children and then when their pregnant again its like its a whole new thing.. x
