ok just been on phone to mum, who had been out and i think emptied all the shops of blue clothes ! i dont think there's anything left lol sounds like his got some awsome outfits tho ! cant wait to go see mum and see them !

did any of your parents go mad when they found out the sex? she was bad enough buying neutral stuff now its a boy ,there's no stopping her !

oh and i know she's prob gonna read this ! so thanks mum

lol....... talk about mums going mad! mine certainly did!!

i love it tho , even my nanna is so excited ! her hubby's son has just had his first son and he went shopping for him , and also brought this baby something ! harrison got a huge winnie pooh , mine got a huge tigger ! everyone is so excited ! ( exc my arsewhole of a father )

we went toyrsus and mothercare today , came out empty handed ! i really hate there prices lol id rather buy loads off ebay ! doesnt that make me sound like a skinflint ? i just want baby to have more !

Nope... neither parent has gone mad full stop...

My mum's the only one who's brought anything. She brought one of these monitors with a sensor pad, to check the baby's breathing... but other than that, she won't buy anything, she says, until the baby is born... I can understand why, she had terrible pregnancies, and I'm her only child out of 7... even when I was born, she didn't buy anything until I had popped out.. Yup... I just wore hospital nappies and a blanket when I was born :rotfl:

My DH's parents on the other hand are completely non plussed by the whole thing. ... But then they run their own business and we don't see them an awful lot. I dunno they might become more involved once the baby is here.

aww im sorry about the squig , i am lucky i know that ! think with the TTC for 2 years noone can believe they can buy stuff and baby is on its way !

(oops this was ment to be a new post)

As for the Ebay bit... Trust me... your little boy won't be in half the stuff for more than a few weeks, and buying big expensive things, honestly just isn't worth it.... We've got all our stuff either second hand or off ebay... and we got a bargin on our travel system.. It was brand new and a fraction of the cost in the shops. You're totally right.. why waste good money on expensive items, when you can spend less for the same quality and end up buying more for your LO

yeh thats so right , why break myself on one outfit from mothercare when that would buy 5 from ebay ! and plus , u can find stuff on ebay i love ( im bidding on this gorg winnie pooh blue jacket) that i just cant find in the shops anyway ! and things like snowsuits , that i may need in march , id rather buy 2 at a fiver each and have one spare then spent 15 - 30 on one ! which i think is crazy !

im struggling with the whole pram thing at mo , i love one in toyrsus , its a graco in beige/mochre looks gorgous and comfy for lil one , comes with everything u need but OMG ITS HEAVY AND BULKY !

then there's the hauck winnie pooh one , that looks lightweiht and matches his nursey things , but looks so flimsy !

i think the pram/ travel system is gonna be my biggest prob buying honestyl !

Yes, both moms... (God willing this baby is going to make them both a grandmother for the first time...although my sis is due 2 weeks after me, so it's going to be close....)

They are both pestering us to find out the gender but my husband doesn't want to and I don't mind...so I prefer to make HIM happy and have a surprise as he wants...

...They are just waiting for a hint on the gender to hit the shops in their respective countries and then ship everything over here :)

I've got also family and friends back home who had lots of baby clothes still with the tag on that their babies never wore...but obviously nothing is unisex anymore so they also want to know so they can shift all that to me.

I like all this excitement! it's so great!!!

And they are SO RIGHT: MY BABY IS VERY IMPORTANT :cheer:

Bless. You're all so lucky to have your Mum's around to buy stuff etc. My Mum died when I was 20 so she won't be here to see baby Flump but I know she is watching over us.
