I had my shopping delivered from Tesco's this morning, I normally shop with Sainsburys because we've had a few bad experiences with Tesco's in the past like we brought some naan breads and the expiry date was last year sometime, me and OH got food poisoning from something we ate there last September and we brought some mince which was in date but when we opened it, it reaked :puke: so it probably serves us right but Tesco have had quite a few good deals recently so we done our shopping with them well anyways, started to put it all away and the youghurts were warm as were the pork chops, chicken thighs and other fresh bits I brought & the chips were defrosted enough for me to be able to bend them :puke: so OH has rung them and he's been on the phone & been put on hold for 45 bl**dy minutes on an 0845 number. Im so angry!! :x

You can type in any 0870 / 0845 number and get the 'landline' version - will save you money. It won't help with the chips :puke: but might make you feel better about phoning them.

Another tip from Money Saving Expert

I don't think its Tesco in general because they are a very good company, I just think its the store here.

omgosh! that is ridiculous! Tesco have been really good everyime ive ordered with them, really helpful too, but i dont blame you for never shopping with them again

We've used Sainsbury's and Tesco's home shoppping, the most recent one was Tesco, last week I think it was. Three meals worth arrived with the delivery date as the expiry date, also it was delivered at 10pm. I could never have cooked that much in one day!! I didn't notice, so unfortunately had to throw a bit away.

I really wasn't impressed, and haven't had this problem from our Sainbury's delivery before.

I always use Sainsbaury now. Used to use Tesco but they were crap, 2 hour slots where Saisnbury does 1 hour slot. And the food quality is better, never had any problems with Sainsbury.

I like tescos, thet will refund stuff without question if your not happy. Also you can demand it comes from a different store if you are having these kinds of probs.

ours is uaually pretty good, is delivered early even though we have huge time slots and the cold food packed well and still chilled.

However the last few times they've delivers things have been missing, we'd lost an entire bag of beef, bacon, chicken etc last time, my mum rang and they were very nice and refunded it, then we found more stuff missing so she rang again, they were still very nice and helpful but she didnt get the second lot refunded on to her card and had to send emails etc to get it.

Now she uses sinaburies a lot, i personally havnt been around when she'd had a delivery so cant comment on them but she seemed very impressed that chilled stuff came in blue bags to make it easily identifiable lol

Id be annoyed to hun :x
ive only tried delivery once and it put me right off  :shakehead: not done it since
hope you can get some sort of apology and compensation

sarah xx

oh dear well thats no bloody good is it, thought they had designated baskets to stop that sort of thing happening ??? You defs shouldnt have to pay for all the ruined food !!
