Just wondering have any of you moms (who didn't have a C-section) notice any blood in your poo (nice  !!!).
I've noticed some blood when I poo on most occasions when doing a number 2, I'm presuming that it has something to do with giving birth, but just want to check if anyone else has experinced the same before booking an appointment with the doctor.
I'm never in pain but just concerned if this is normal or not  ???

Sounds like it could be piles have you suffered with these??

They can bleed when you poo

no never had piles and it doesn't hurt, you think it could be farm giles?????

I find I can be like this too, ever sinse ive given birth it seems to be harder   therfore making me bleed a little but I just put it down to eating more and her taking the nutriants from my milk, so its not soft  lol I dont really know but thats what I think anyway.

Oh and I havnt got piles so it isnt that :)

i get this, but im still umming over it being piles. It doesn't hurt 'to' poo, but if i need to it does (does that even make sense? ).

no harm in checking with the doc

you could have got a small tear from the strain hun but the doc can give u cream as i am using it at the moment for the same reason i have had it since having my daughter

I had c section but have been having painfull poos and a bit of bleeding since midwfe put me on iron tablets (poo was black too!!Very alarming  )

Stopped taking them now as I couldnt bear the pain when going to loo!!! Reurning to normal now, thank God xx

Def sounds like piles or a fissure (a tear in your back passage). Could be internal rather than external piles which means blood will be in poo. No harm in checking wiht doc though.

You should always get any bleeding checked out. You can get internal and external piles and 90% of the time this is the reason for the bleeding. If the blood is bright red then it is more than likely piles and nothing to worry about. if it is darker in colour then you need to get checked out as this indicates a bleed higher up in the colon ( not piles)

The remedy - drink lots, eat fruit and veg, and make sure you go to the loo when you get the urge and not put it off!!!

I am "having difficulty" at the min so I know what your going through!!

Good Luck

I think you can have piles that don't hurt but I have got them and mine are agony and there is usually quite a bit of blood on the tissue when i wipe (sorry if TMI). If you have got external piles you will beable to feel them and you can buy cream called anusol for them at the chemist or supermarket. If you have internal piles you can buy anusol suppositories. It might be worth seeing your doctor just to check it is just piles though. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles/ar ... onId=26184
