even tho melissa has started walking, she still prefers crawling. i hadnt really noticed until my mum asked me tonite "does she walk more than she crawls now?" and i thought and had to say no, she still crawls more.

should i discourage the crawling or just let her drop it herself? she's almost 17 months old!

i'd just leave her to it, she might go faster when she crawls so prefers it sometimes.

I look after a little boy who is 19 months old and he's still crawling, i think they just find it faster sometimes :)

oliver has just started walking, and he crawls a lot more than he walks!

im pretty sure its cause he finds it quicker!

i think so jack did until he could walk quicker- now he wont crawl at all

If you need to get somewhere quick, and the distance is quite far..do you walk or do you take the car? Melissa has mastered the art of crawling but hasn't quite mastered walking yet, because she hasn't been walking as long as she has been crawling. Once she does, she will much prefer to walk than crawl as walking will be faster and more convenient.. :) Its not a developmental delay but a convenience issue. :D
