OK. We had been settled on George Tyler Gardener for about 10 weeks and OH has decided to fess up and say he's changed his mind! He doesn't like the initials GTG and the fact that there's too many G's in there.

His suggestion is: Henry George Tyler Gardener. Tyler as a middle name is non-negotiable, as it is my current surname. I absolutely love the name George so I really want it in there somewhere.

So my question is, what sounds better?

Henry George Tyler Gardener

-or-

George Henry Tyler Gardener

???

xx

I really like both these names, but I'm with hubby - my first choice would be Henry.

xxxx

I love both so I think it'll be lovely either way :)
I wouldn't let initials put you off unless they're obscure haha! But if your OH has fallen out of love with George then go with Henry.. Both of the same calibre
:) xxx

I think Henry George sounds better! To be perfectly honest, in simple terms - do you want to call your child Henry or George? I hope you can eventually agree :) Middle names are lovely but rarely get used, unless you make it happen and refer to him as George-Henry or Henry-George in conversation. In the same way, though I like Henry better than George, George Gardener is lovely and I don't think there's a problem with those initials or too many 'g' sounds as they're pronounced differently with being soft and hard g. Xx

I have nephews called George and Henry and I love both names.

I'd probably lean towards Henry as it is slightly less "common"

Both are lovely names though

I prefer George to Henry in all honesty! I do like Henry but I think George Gardener has a nicer ring to it xx
