Hi, just thought it was time we checked in and let everyone know how we're doing - how's everyone feeling? Have you bought everything / got everything set up? Are you ready??
I'm feeling OK but sleep is getting more uncomfortable. I also did a lot of walking last weekend and my groin / pelvis complained for a few days afterwards. Generally get a little discomfort in that area but nothing too bad.
I am gearing up for a big wash this weekend, we finally bought a chest of drawers for bub, so I have somewhere to put all the clean clothes! Also starting to think about packing my hospital bag - I think I'm going to pack 2, 1 for labour and 1 for the hospital stay (our hospital here has a hotel next door and if there are no complications we stay for 3 days in the hotel in a family room with OH and any kids other we already have, with mid-wives on hand to help / take baby for a few hours if necessary )
Other plan is to buy a car!!! Yes, quite a big purchase but our current car won't fit a baby seat in the back Once we have a car, we can get a baby seat
I am loving the fact that instead of counting weeks up, I am now counting down - 8 weeks til due date, 5 weeks until mat leave starts.... Started thinking about all the things I should be doing in preparation - pelvic floor, squats, perineal massage, practising normal massage for labour, hypnobirthing techniques etc.
