October 2017 mummies :-)

How are those naughty babies doing ladies? Flick- have you felt any more movement? And Allysa, I hope your one is still behaving. I've felt a lot less movement today, not sure if its because I've been really busy. All the movement I've felt has been more 'inside movement' rather than any kicks. I'm hoping as I chill out this evening she'll give me some good, reassuring kicks.

I fear this is our lives now, worrying about these babies!x

My baby's movements are also more inside than kicks, good thing is that I had some sweet chilli chicken sushi for lunch and he went mad, kicking and moving like crazy. Hopefully it was because he liked it, not because he didn't.

Is anyone checkig how much they put on? I feel so big and I don't as I will get depressed. And it is so hot... I am living in maxi/midi dresses, can't be bothered to fit my jeans anymore. I am so hungry all the time and I never ate so many sweets before.

How is everyone? So grateful it is weekend and I can rest...

I feel huge and uncomfortable:( not looking forward to later stages:(

Baby has been quiet today, a few movements here and there but nothing major. My throat is aching so I think I'm coming down with something:(

Dave is also being fairly quiet, esp compared to the last few days. Maybe they've all synced together and decided to wind us up? Or maybe the heat is actually making them lazy? I'm not too concerned as I'm getting some movement occasionally.

I'm not really checking weight as I have no idea if my scales are accurate as I never usually use them. Always thought as long as I fit in my clothes I'm OK, but I can't go by that now! It feels like mine is all bump at the mo, but then I can't really tell as I see me everyday. No growing boobs- sure OH will be gutted by that!

I am all about the sweet things too, and doing nothing all weekend. Really hoping to catch up on some sleep, but then I hope for that every weekend x

I'm not overly concerned as like you said Amy, I get occassional movements.

I weighed myself the other morning and I was 12 stone...I'm usually 8st7ish and a size 8. Currently finding size 12 cotton shorts tight and wearing size 14 dresses. I know its temporary so I am trying not to obsess about it as there's nothing I can do at the moment. I am looking forward to being able to workout and get back into shape!!

I put weight all over. Have to say it is my fault as I did not restricted myself and ate everything I was craving. The fact that my appetite increased significantly during pregnancy didn't helped. But as you I am trying not to obsess and looking forward to be in my best shape after birth.Oh, and my boobs are the same as well, I don't find them bigger than before yet.

I tryied the trick with the phone light on the belly in the dark last night. We was kicking so hard and exactly where I was moving the light :)

Finally I had a good night, slept for 9 hrs with just 2 trips to the loo and felt a bit better this morning. I might go for another nap now as my hubby is sleeping after nighshift too.

Bit worried that we haven't herd anything from Flick for a while. I hoe everything's ok and her baby is wriggling around x

I've got a naughty baby today, she's not really moved at all. I was getting worried so called the number on my notes and got told to go to the mdau at the hosp. They couldn't scan me but checked my bp and babies heart rate. Everything with that was fine. They gave baby a right prodding but she still didn't get moving. They sent me home but said if I was still worried tonight to call the delivery suite, or ring them again after 10 tomorrow.

I've had a bit of movement since I've been back. I'm not happy, and still hoping for more soon. I'm just telling myself she's being lazy. Damn babies!!x

Naughty babies! Hopefully it's the heat making them lazy...
Mine will move when I first wake up, then there isn't really a pattern, if I'm busy and walking around, I can go for hours without feeling anything.
I've been using the kick count app, but not sure whether that is now stressing me out more. You can look at graphs from last 7/14 days and I've defo had quieter days. At what point do you worry and call? Such a minefield!
X

Yep, its a nightmare. I don't want to be that person, but I'm also getting worried. I don't want to call the delivery suite as I am sure they are busy enough, but I don't just want to wait and worry. Her heart rate was really good and strong earlier, I just need some good kicks to make me relax. I kept trying to take my mind off it, buts its not working x

We went to Southend for the day yesterday, which was nice. But unfortunately, I didn't eat or drink enough and walked around all day without sitting down. Today I am making up for that! Lazy day indoors for all of us I think, as we are exhausted after getting home past midnight.

Glad the flashlight thing got a good response Allysa :)

It seems like we are all experiencing lazy babies!! I read a post from someone about reduced movements and someone else responded saying the ensure they drink enough as being slightly dehydrated can reduce baby's movements. I think there could be some truth to it as yesterday I didn't drink enough and hardly felt anything. Since waking up this morning I've drank 3 pints of water and eaten a salad, can feel loads of movements today!!! Also the cold sugary drink thing doesn't work to encourage movements for me.

How's things today Amy?

Fortunately things are fine today. She was really quiet last night, I woke up between 0300-0530 and she stayed quiet so I was getting really scared. I fell back to sleep and when I woke later she was wriggling around. She's been wriggling loads this morning. I keep telling her she's really naughty. Its really difficult cos if it happens again I'd want to remember this time and leave if for a bit, but then all the stuff you read says not to leave it and to get it checked.

The MW in the hosp was lovely and they told me to call at any point I was worried, so that's good. And they measured me which was nice as I was hoping they would at the last appt. I was 26cm which she said was bang on.

You definitely deserve a lazy day Olivia. Great tip on the water too. I'll keep topped up and hope that helps xx

That's good to hear Amy! I did the same when I woke up, couldn't feel movements which is unusual as I usually feel something after i've woken up to pee! So I was super worried, which I think also affected my sleep as I feel so tired today!
Keep us updated if the water thing helps with movements!

Whats everyone's plans for today?

Me too, its so exciting to see the babies coming. And I am soaking up all the info I can get.
My OH and I have decided that for every naughty thing baby Dave does now we get to embarrass her when she's 18! And I said the £2.90 hospital parking charge is definitely coming out of her future pocket money.

Baby is moving loads today. Not sure if its to make up for yesterday or due to all the water.

My plans for today are nothing, I'm too tired from yesterday. All I have done is put food in the slow cooker and order a blackout blind for the nursery.

Oh, I got an email from dpd to tell me my kiddicare order will be delivered tomorrow! Who knows if its automated and the cancelation request hasn't caught up with it or if the car seat will arrive? Stupid kiddicare, excellent customer service model of only being able to chat via email. x

Oh no Amy, these naughty babies!! So glad Dave started to move! I do believe it is the heat, my one is lazy as well, he move and kick regulary now but less than he used to. And same here he doesn't wake up every time I go to the loo night time anymore. He used to be so early but not anymore, he tent to be more active in the evenings.

Flick, is everything all right? I start to worry as well, hope everything is fine x

Need to have a look too at July thread !

This heat, legs swollen again..Used to love hot weather, not anymore! Well, at least not pregnant

x

Ahhh I took loads of info from the may thread!!! That thread was so eventful haha

Our Silver Cross travel system and Cotbed mattress got delivered yesterday and has been left with a neighbour! Must collect it tomorrow. Although I don't know where we will store everything!

Morning everyone,

I kept meaning to respond over the weekend but it has been a bit of a manic one! I ended up calling the midwife at about 1.30 on Friday as I had a sugar drink and nothing was working. They told me to lie down for an hour and see, if nothing then ring back, so I rushed home and went straight up to bed and lay down, nothing happened so I rang them again and they told me to go straight down. Did the norm of urine, blood pressure etc then hooked me up to a monitoring machine and his heart beat was nice and strong, phew, she could hear him kicking but I wasn't feeling anything so we think the placenta has moved. Was in for an hour while they checked that the rhythm was ok and that there was no other issues, told me I am still low risk and that if am ever concerned again just go straight down, don't wait or wonder, just go, so that made me feel better as I was so worried about time wasting etc but I just couldn't relax and was crying in work etc... so I am glad I went. Have had some movement but it is mainly inside movement like it feels like it is in my pelvis? Then the odd kind of elbow poking out my side but nothing at the front anymore :( so odd that he has gone from being a bruiser to a butterfly but I will take anything for reassurance!

I hope you are all ok, am just about to catch up on the July thread now :) am also watching the Aug and Sept thread, can't believe there is only 86 days to go, feels so scary when I start to think about it! We collected the car seat, steriliser, monitor and then some other bits and bobs (bottle brush, nipple cream lol etc) so I spent all day Saturday sorting the whole room out and sorting out a big box of stuff from the kids bedrooms for car boot etc so feeling a bit more accomplished at the moment, and I have slept, Friday night I was in bed by 9, my face hurt from crying and stressing so much so I slept like a log!

I am so far 18lb heavier, am not sure if that is baby or me, everyone tells me am all bump and they can't tell I have put on any weight etc but I feel huge! Will wait and see! It does say online that between 15 and 24lb or something at this point is normal so am ok with the weight gain just hope it comes off as easy as it is going on! x

Flick! Glad to hear all is well. Wow how scary that must have been. I too experience kicks very deep and low down.....almost like this baby wants to come out haha

I have put on around 20lbs but not overly bothered as I know we will lose it :) I also noticed it is 86 days and that scared me!!! Where has the time gone???
