That's really sweet. I'll have to keep an eye out. My mum keeps turning up with stuff for the baby- useful things like sleeping bags and hooded towels- but my OH is getting a bit upset that Everything is being bought without him'. I don't think he realises how much stuff we will need!

My MATB1 form is supposed to be with my employers by the time I'm 25weeks. As I've soon got leave coming up I want to get it in before. Will be so nice to have the mat leave booked in.

Feels like a long week already! Treated myself by booking a haircut and highlights for next week. My mum decided to tell me I have loads of grey- cheers!

Have a good day xx

Car in the garage, waiting on the bill, eek!

Are you more active at weekends Lea? Is that what's getting the ankles? Mine are ok, but I have noticed that I cant walk as fast now. I'm always a fast walker so its weird telling my head I need to slow down. And when walking or going up stairs I do seem to be breathing deeper and getting breathless.

I've not noticed any Braxton Hicks but to be honest I have no idea what they would feel like. Feeling ok though so seeing that as a positive. A few things I have noticed though- today I have had a really tender left nipple. Just the left one. Its very odd. Over the last few weeks I have also notice lots of mucus (sorry, tmi). At the beginning I worried every time I felt it that something was going wrong, now I'm more relaxed about it. From what I've read its expected and if anything might increase. I could wear a pantyliner, but it seems a shame to be period free for 9 months and have to wear one! xx

Thank goodness! I have the same and was a bit concerned but feel better now (in a gross way ha) x

Morning all,

So I did something slightly impulsive yesterday and (in my mind) crazy, I was looking to book our summer holiday in Devon as was scared about going abroad when I will be 31 weeks, found a caravan for £1250!!!!! So as a side I had a look online at flights to Portugal (my mum has a place there so only have to pay for flights) and it was £353 for 10 days so I booked it! Arrgggghhhh 40 degrees at 31 weeks pregnant makes me feel mad but I will just sit in the pool like a beached whale!! tee hee

21 weeks today, took a photo so will upload that in a sec, feel like bump is really growing and getting lots of wiggles and hiccups! I had my whooping cough jab when I had my scan, arm still hurts now, feels like someone punched it! Lovely weather today, am in a very good mood :) xx

Bumpie!! :) 21 weeks xx

Awesome bump flick :D Portugal sound so good now, we might just go for a few days in Spain to visit my brother in law.

Hiccups Ohh how sweet, can't wait to feel it too with my little boy . We will attend a wedding in 2 weeks and I need to buy a dress! So difficult to find something nice which doesn't make me look huge. I also need to hear high hells as I am 5'2 '' and my husband is 6'3'', don't want to look petite and fat haha.

Olivia the suit is so sweet! £1??? Bargain !!

Good luck with the scans tomorrow ladies x

It is one of my colleagues birthday today and I already had so many chocolate biscuits ...Someone stop me please ..grrr

Lovely bump photo and Portugal sounds like bliss!
I had a sore beard last night and woke up with it this morning I have finally gave in and took one paracetamol to try shift it

Lol, at heathers sore beard! Im sure you meant head, and I'm not laughing at you having a headache honest!

Funnily enough, I was in Tescos today, meant to be buying lunch, and they have a lot of winter/long sleeved stuff in the sale. I ended up buying a peppa pig sleepsuit/vest/bib for a £5 (was £12!), and another set also about £6 off! I need to get my 6 year old some summer clothes on payday, bless her, feel a bit bad not spending money on her!

Despite me hating the heat today, I would love to have a holiday booked, just whale out on a beach somewhere...unfortunately I am terrified of flying, so will have to make do with local beaches!
X

Ha ha ha I didn't even notice that I had written beard oops lol
I am feeling better now I had a afternoon nap.
I am waiting on my husband decorating the whole house and moving things about. Then can go through what clothes I kept from Reuben and see what I need to buy. I am sure I might need to get a pram suit for new born as the one I got from mamas and papas for Reuben was terrible it was fine on body but I couldn't get his arms in the sleeves properly x

I think I've just seen a kick from outside - it was proper freaky....lol, I'm not sure I'm going to look again! X

Oh no!!!!!!!
My little boy looks like he has hand foot and mouth which means he will be off nursery tomorrow and I have my 20 weeks scan so looks like I will have to go alone :(

Aw yay lea! I keep recording my belly because I feel really strong kicks but as soon as I record he stops grrr.

I'm so happy today, we have FINALLY found a tap adapter so we can use a hose which means I'll be able to have a birth pool for my homebirth (fingers crossed!) The whole tap thing has been stressing me out for months, we've tried about 7 different adapters!

That's brilliant digital I am wanting to give birth in birthing pool this time as I was in hospital last time and was lying on the bath and got to 8cm without much pain it was when I got out that I felt the contractions more and got rushed down to maternity ward and had him with gas and air x

Ahh Heather I had a similar experience, I got to 7cm quite easily in the birth pool at hospital. They then told me I 'had' to get out of the pool to be examined and wouldn't let me back in for one reason or another - apparently I wasn't progressing to their liking and then they told me that I was too tired to get back in the pool! My son still took a good 7 hours from then to arrive so I don't think the pool played any part in slowing me down. Opting for a home birth this time because of that experience x

How's everyone dealing with the heat?
I am having very swollen ankles from the morning and I feel dizzy, had tightenings on my bump all day and pains. I start to be concern as I can see the baby doesn't move much either.. Is it normal or should I call the midwife?

Call the midwife, it could be normal but if you're concerned then that's enough reason to call and ask for some reassurance xx

I hope for a birthing pool but just need to wait and see what happens. I didn't have a birthing plan last time.
My mother in law is able to come over and watch Reuben so my husband can come to scan thankfully and he will drop her off home after as she is meeting her friends in afternoon. We just won't have the nice relaxing lunch we had planned

Sorry to hear your little boy is poorly Heather, and that your plans for tomorrow have changed. At least your husband can now go with you though.

I'm ok with the heat in the day as my office is air conditioned with no windows, but when I got home I thought I was going to melt. I've just shut all the blinds and curtains and collapsed on my bed.
It seems as though I haven't felt the baby so much over the last few days but I'm not sure if its because I'm now hoping I'll feel it throughout the day, so its on my mind more. xx

I did not called the midwife , after 3 hours in bed my ankles felt a bit better. Also checked with the doopler a couple of times and it has strong heartbeat (150- 160). I start to think I have a problem because i freak out so quickly.

Seems like the babies are lazy again. Soon they will get crowded in there and we will feel them more x

At some point i thought about water birth but I am sure I will need at least gas and air so gave up on thinking about it.
