October 2017 mummies :-)

Yay, another scan ! The sonographer couldn't see the sex or you didn't wanted to find out?

Nice scan, this is a hard one but I am guessing a ...Girl:D

Sonographer could see everything and almost accidentally showed us

My partner doesn't want to find out, so we said no....

I was convinced I was having a boy....but I am thinking girl from the glimpse I saw....unless I didn't see what I think I saw? It's driving me mad now!!! Wish I could know haha

I wasn't sure if the nub theory still counts or if it's too late to use that? Posted on 2 facebook group (October mums and nub theory experts) had responses from both groups saying can't tell from this scan.

Evening ladies. Great scan pic Olivia. I have no idea of the gender from that image I'm afraid.
I've been feeling movement at a couple of points today. I usually get movement in the evening- sometimes it feels really odd, like its fully turning over. Today I got some light pokes while I was at work.

I've had a crap day today. Had a long day in the office and was busy sorting my brief for tomorrow. Then when leaving work there was an almighty bang from my car and now its screwed. Fortunately I work with some lovely guys who came to look and told me the problem and then one drove me home. Now tomorrow I have to try and arrange getting bck to the car, getting it recovered, and then getting it fixed. I fear it will be very expensive, boo. So much for saving. Its times like this I could really do with my OH being home. Probably serves me right for hoping I could get out of my brief tomorrow. Now I've done all the work but someone else will deliver it.

Roll on the end of the week and 2.5 weeks leave xx

Aww, great scan Olivia!

Sorry to hear you had such a crap day amythomas - I think you feel the stress so much more when you are pregnant! I need to make sure my blood pressure doesn't get too high, not easy in the environment I work in!

My ankles seemed to have gone back down - it seems to be a weekend thing...I'm contemplating going swimming today, just to see how I get on. It's meant to alievate a lot of the aches and pains and makes you feel weightless.
They do a 'ladies only' swim session, will be full of old people and me, but might be a good session to find my feet!
xx

Hope you are all ok and no one was affected by last nights unbelievable acts of horror xx

How terrible, my thoughts are with the one's who lost someone. Hope all of you are well.
I wonder when all there will end..

Sorry you had a bad day Amy and hopefully your car will get fixed soon. I had as well a long day yesterday, fell asleep at 20,30 pm. I feel overloaded, got so many things to do and I always forget something. I am afraid as well that by blood pressure will go up .

Looks more like summer outside

Hope everyone is safe x

Sorry to hear about your car troubles Amy :( hope it all gets sorted soon.

Have fun swimming today Lea :)

Still feeling unwell :( but on a separate note....has anyone experienced Braxton Hicks yet? I think I have for the past few weeks but unsure as I've never had them before!!!

No braxton hicks yet, but still getting that awful pressure feeling sometimes.

Kicks are getting stronger but my husband hasn't managed to feel them yet.

Soooo looking forward to holiday this weekend.

Just had a corned beef sandwich for lunch after craving it for days and it was AMAZING!!

Haven't had one since I was small!

Lol I used to love corned beef, corned beef hash mmmmmmmmmmmmm x

I am stuck with plain pasta at the moment, it is the only thing that is making me not have terrible heartburn or throw up :(

has anyone got any scans coming up this week?

Mine is one week away, next Tuesday !One week doesn't seem too long now.

I have no idea if I had any Braxton Hicks or how they should feel like  . Read something about them but didn't felt anything similar.

My baby is kicking a lot at work when I can't concentrate much on it or can't look at my belly to see the kicks :D My husband is as well crazy to see the kicks but no luck for him yet.

I am starting to breathe quite hard lately , and have some reddish areas on my breast which disappears overnight and coming back from time to time. I read it can be from increased blood flow or some infection ( hopefully not) and I will mention to my midwife about it.

Car in the garage, waiting on the bill, eek!

Are you more active at weekends Lea? Is that what's getting the ankles? Mine are ok, but I have noticed that I cant walk as fast now. I'm always a fast walker so its weird telling my head I need to slow down. And when walking or going up stairs I do seem to be breathing deeper and getting breathless.

I've not noticed any Braxton Hicks but to be honest I have no idea what they would feel like. Feeling ok though so seeing that as a positive. A few things I have noticed though- today I have had a really tender left nipple. Just the left one. Its very odd. Over the last few weeks I have also notice lots of mucus (sorry, tmi). At the beginning I worried every time I felt it that something was going wrong, now I'm more relaxed about it. From what I've read its expected and if anything might increase. I could wear a pantyliner, but it seems a shame to be period free for 9 months and have to wear one! xx

My scan is Friday at 4 pm going to drag so much lol

I'm a fast Walker too Amy, struggling with not being able to walk my usual 5 miles in 35mins. Can barely walk up the stairs without becoming breathless! I am looking forward to being able to do my long walks next year while pushing baby around :)

Can't wait to see some scan pictures!!!! So exciting.

I read something about braxton hicks can start from 16 weeks....maybe it's not braxton hicks. I have moments when my belly becomes rock solid and has ALOT of pressure in my lower belly. It's not painful but it is uncomfortable and I usually stop what I'm doing when it happens. It'll happen a few times, sort of in like little clusters? I have no idea if I am making sense haha I will be asking MW at 25 week appt.

I also booked to get my whooping cough vaccine at GP :)

Hmmm, I'll have to look it up, I don't really know anything about Braxton Hicks. I do find if I eat too much (not loads, just clearly too much for the reduced space) my tummy really hurts. Its gets bloated and painful and I have to rub it.

I've got my whooping cough vaccine booked in for Friday afternoon, I also picked up my MATB1 form today. Was really impressed with the midwife. Called this morning and left a voicemail asking for it and which docs I wanted it leaving at and she left a message an hour later to say it was done and waiting for me. Keen to get it submitted to work so I can get mat leave booked in and hopefully start discussing part time working afterwards and what pay I will get (I've tried to work it out roughly but my maths is rubbish!) I'm sure my work will be pretty relaxed so I'm planning on not starting my maternity leave until my EDD but putting in at least 2 weeks leave before, maybe more if I have lots to use. xx

I have my scan on Friday at 11.30am
I can't wait and husband has taken a holiday so we are going to go out for lunch as my little boy will be at nursery so a nice relaxing lunch and then maybe some shopping x

Ohhh I think I'm getting my form at 25 week appt.

I just ate a bit too much for dinner a drink feel like I'm about the explode! Mega uncomfortable :(

Ahh that sounds nice Heather :) hope you have a nice time

I'm normally a fast walker, but I'm just plodding along now, feel about 36 weeks!

Swimming was great! Only done ten lengths but felt very relaxed afterwards, will defo go again. Have an outdoor pool near me, so fingers crossed I can use that if weather stays nice...

I had a corned beef sandwich for lunch today, how weird!

Amythomas, let me know how the vaccine goes. I've got mine ten mins before my 25 week mw appt...

Xx

Haha Lea, I feel like I'm waddling everywhere. Can't imagine what I'll be like in September! I can't remember if you have had your scan or not?

I have bought a few items from Tesco baby range. Impressed with the quality of the items! Bodysuits with cute prints for £1.50 :) every few weeks they have new designs online....I am still trying to figure out how to upload a picture of them :( bare with me!
