Hey ladies! I didn't had internet since Friday and I end up finishing 2 books haha, good stuff.

I am reading May mummies for quite a while as well and get so exciting thinking we will be there as well! I am 19 weeks today (ticker 2 days behind) and I wish I would feel more proper movement for reassurance. I do feel in the morning when I sit on a chair, it is definitely him, feels so nice to know he's moving but he doesn't move much after. Will see how is going.

20 weeks scan for you girls, so exciting! 2 weeks more until mine . So sad about the lady who lost the child at 20 weeks. What was the reason? now I start thinking at the worst things.

Morning all!

Happy Monday, another week in! 20 weeks this Wednesday and scan on Thursday and I am feeling anxious about it all too! I keep thinking I feel him, will have the flutters but it is when I am sitting up and it is more at the top of my tummy so am not sure if it is him or it is just gas bubbles? I am trying to be calm about it and 'enjoy the pregnancy' as everyone keeps telling me too, but am just so anxious that something is going to go wrong as soon as I start to look forward to things and make plans, does that sound stupid?

I went to my first baby shower at the weekend, not for me, for a friend who is due in july, my goodness I couldn't believe the amount of gifts, I can see why the Americans love it! So question, is anyone else having a baby shower or party of some kind?

urgh can hear three people already coughing and spluttering, better not pass germs to me!!

I feel my belly is huge and everyone is commenting now.
I feel little flutters quite often now through out the day lower down.
My 20 week scan is the 26th May I can't wait and hope they confirm it's a little boy he he he
I didn't have a baby shower for my first and won't be for this one either I don't want to pressure friends into thinking they have to buy gifts. When my little boy was born he did end up with lots of gifts anyway x

I'll be quiet from the 26th as heading off to france for the week last holiday before the baby is here!

I so wish I would feel something but hardly anything at the moment. I don't know if its wind or genuine.

I've got my scan tomorrow (only 19w 1d) and I am bricking it again. I still have a fluctuating bump and not sure if I am feeling anything yet.
I'm the same as you flick, I'm too nervous something will go wrong to start enjoying it yet. I'm not going to have a baby shower. The thought of a party without booze and good cheese, pate, etc doesn't really appeal! I'm sure we will get loads of gifts when the baby arrives. x

Oh, I am so happy this day finished, it was awful and I thought work will never end. I am really thinking to take some time off work, I feel very overloaded and very stressed which I know is not good for the baby.

Time is flying, 20 weeks scan tomorrow, how exciting Amy, you will find out the gender as well. Please stop thinking at the worst because everything will be fine.I am very pesimistic myself and I do a lot of effort to keep positive because the thought of holding my baby in my arms worth it.

Won't be having a baby shower either, all my good friends are far away and I don't really mind .

Today I spoke to a good friend, she is 28 weeks now and her bump is smaller than mine Because she is tall and skinny and I m the other way round haha. She sent me a video with the baby moving, so amazing, the belly was going in all directions . Soon for us as well x

Thanks for the message Allysa, I really appreciate it. I've had a quick look through my notes to check I'm all sorted for tomorrow and now I'm feeling a lot more positive and raring to go. I'm so excited that I will (hopefully) find out what I'm having. It feels odd to think that tomorrow I can hopefully say 'he' or 'she' rather than 'it'. I really have no preference as to what it is, but it seems odd to think it will actually be something rather than an it. I'm rambling now.....

A break from work sounds amazing. After next week I have 2.5 weeks off and my husband will be home on RnR for 2 weeks. I cant wait. Eek! I hope the weathers nice for our break to Devon. x

My 20 week scan is tomorrow too Amy - I'm sure we will be fine, and you have the excitement of finding out gender!

I'm in devon - the weather has been awful here today, so hopefully it's getting it out the way before you come!

It seems like so long ago you were talking about your oh coming home and now it's here, shows how quick it is actually going!! Enjoy your break, remember you can never guarantee the weather but you can make a holiday as amazing as you want too so have fun and relax xx

Good luck to the girls having 20 weeks scans today. I think it's only human to worry all the way through pregnancy or I did with my son as after 20 week scan we don't get another then as we feel more movements you then have to think especially if working/ busy did u feel baby move today. Until baby is placed in ur arms you worry then once here it's a different kind of worry lol
We had terrible weather in Scotland yesterday but the sun is out this morning

Yesterday night I saw for the first time baby kicking from the outside, I was so happy I almost started crying haha.I felt some kicks and said to myself let's look at my bump and I clearly seen his kick, it was quite strong ! I shouted to my husband who was in the shower and poor him came with shampoo in his hair to see but our little one didn't wanted daddy to see the kick

Hopefully weather will get better in the next couple of weeks, here is warmish but windy and usually cloudy with showers

Been for the scan and all is good. Checked the baby out from top to bottom and nothing odd to report. Its amazing the things they can see in this scan's and how they can move around the baby. And I am just in awe as to what our bodies are doing at the moment.
Baby is measuring on date and appears to be a GIRL! Yay. Although my husband is winding me up and asking if we can call her Dave!

I tell myself I won't worry anymore now.......

Congratulations, happy to hear all is good, have you remained on the same due date or has it changed? SAm nervous for mine Thursday, how long did it last? x

Yep, same due date. Head circumference was 19w 1d (spot on) and belly was 19w 3d (porker). The scan is amazing- they go through the baby top to toe. You see areas of the brain, the heart, stomach, kidneys, etc. Check all the bones in the limbs, see the spine and the ribs. They check the position of the placenta and the cord as well. Baby was all scrunched up at the beginning but then she spread out and started moving about.
Appt took about 20-30mins all in all. And I got the pics for free!x

Nice, love free stuff ha! So it was quite simple and straightforward? I know they are looking for any abnormalities! When she was moving could you feel her? x

Pic attached, took the app ages to work.
She doesn't fit so neatly on screen anymore! She's got her hand by her nose and the cord is by the leg.

Flick- I couldnt feel her during the scan, just them pressing down on my tummy and bladder. It was all really straightforward though. The woman doing the scanning was lovely. She said she was mostly scanning livers and bladders all day so I think she enjoyed it. She kept saying how wonderful and amazing everything was. She took the time to explain every bit.

My dad absolutely loved it and asked loads of questions. Its his first granddaughter, and he was amazed to see how much they can see these days.

Its weird to think I am carrying my daughter and part of any children she will have, as she currently has all the eggs she will ever have.
