October 2017 mummies :-)

I am jinxed today. The train home went u/s and we all got kicked out at a random station. Ended up standing on another rammed train. It was then I decided to order a takeaway- kebab, chips and choc fudge cake. I feel I deserve it today.

My EDD is the 9th Oct. I don't know the gender yet but my scan is next Tuesday so fingers crossed this time next week I'll know. Thanks Vicki x

Ok so I know i've been neglecting the forum :( had a busy few weeks and find it hard to keep up to date with all of you lovely ladies. I am now 19 weeks and feeling little one wriggle around which is nice. I feel more out of breath? I don't know if it's just because I'm unfit! Constant heartburn. I got the most adorable vest for baby from Tesco, cost £1 and it has little bananas on it. I am gutted I didn't buy another one as they're now sold out! I'll post a picture of it later. I may be returning to work next week, which will be a shock to the system!

One thing I did want to ask....if I lay, sit or stand still for longer than 5 or so minutes, my lower back ( I think it's called Lumbar something) gets pain and almost clicks out of place. Sometimes it makes a loud click and I can actually feel its not quite right and almost out of place. This has only happened since becoming pregnant. I am waiting until my next appointment to mention it to midwife. Other times it just causes a lot of pain and I find it hard to walk as I normally would. I read that due to relaxin? Our bones can move too much and in that case, doctors do not advise exercise as it can cause more damage? I don't know if anyone has or is experiencing anything like this? Any advice will be appreciated.

I am finally home but feeling beyond tired...Hope you 're all feeling fine, Amy you had a bit of adventure so you deserve the kebab .

I am feeling as well a bit out of breath and it is very hard to stand up from chair at work all the time, it is getting hard to walk, I feel like I am 60 haha. No problem with my back yet , Olivia speak with your midwife and maybe she cam refer you to a specialist to check all is fine? Today I felt again a bit of movement , it is usually at work and in the morning.

I'm not an expert but sounds like pregnancy siactica (deffo spelt that wrong!)

Allysa have a look at pelvic girdle pain (PGP) on the NHS website and see if that relates to you? I've had some symptoms of it and spoke to my midwife today, she said if I'm managing okay at the minute (which I am as the pain is only in bed after a long day) then to carry on but we can look into physio later on if it gets worse. Not saying you have this but deffo worth a look into x

Having a lovely time on holiday and weather has been great!
We have been on the pedal boats and had ice creams. We are going swimming today.

Lovely bump pics.

I was feeling smug in not really having many aches and pains but that's changed today. I got a huge U shaped pregnancy pillow that I love, but my cat loves it too and keeps trying to steal it. Last night he monopolized one side of it, so when I tried to roll over in my sleep I couldn't and ended up asleep on my back. My body woke me up at 0300 and I had a dead left leg. Had to drag myself on the right side and let the blood flow back to it. It worried me so I was awake for a bit. Then when I woke up again at 0600 (on my left hand side) the top of my left leg and the hip really hurt.

This afternoon I'm getting painful twinges on my right side down by my groin. Guessing its round ligament, but its annoying as I'm not stretching or doing anything.

Still not felt any definite baby movements. I get the usual body grumbles and a few pokes or prods I'm not sure about. But nothing that I cant guarantee isn't due to gas!

Its nice that its lovely and sunny, but I'm the same as you Allysa, still cold. x

I've had to stand up really slowly otherwise I get a really sharp pain on my right side, ouchie!

I'm usually a size 6 and nothing at all fits me so I really need to get shopping. Last time I was pregnant I didn't show until 30 weeks and I was envious of bumps but I should have been careful what I wished for because now I feel huge!

That's an amazing bump. I am jealous of your bump.
When you do go shopping let me know if you find any good places as I am struggling at the mo. Ordered some size 6 skinny maternity jeans from asos. All the ones I've tried from New Look and Dorothy Perkins at a size 8 have been massive and horrid. Tops are fine but I am in desperate need of skinny jeans that fit. x

Ooh let me know how the asos jeans are, I've heard H&M ones are good so I'll probably go there over the weekend and try some on :)

So here is my bump, feeling very fat, I had really bad water retention with my last son, and ended up having physio as my body was broken lol so am praying I don't get it this time but by ankles and feet are so swollen by the end of the day that it is all pointing towards the same again :(wish I was petite and small like you ladies but I just feel huge :(

Wow, so many amazing bumps ladies! Now I believe we start to look pregnant :) I will update mine as well .

Amy how is the pregnancy pillow ? I would like to order one today but do not know which is better, the u shape or the straight long one.

I slept terrible last night, my OH was used to sleep with his foot on top of me and he is squeezing me while sleeping , so I wake up all the time to keep him off as I know he doesn't want to .Anyway, tossing and turning from one side to the other one all night long.

And we are not huge, we are pregnant and beautiful x

I have just a normal V shape one which I do use but when I wake it is in the floor so I must be kicking it out in my sleep. Am a very light sleeper, have been since I had Jackson and he is 11 now, so I wake up at the slightest noise but have always been a very still sleeper, not moving from the position I fall asleep in, whereas now am all over the shop (according to my other half!!!)

Flick you look amazing, can you tell me more about this water retention? I've had swollen ankles since 8 weeks pregnant and yesterday they were ENORMOUS and painful. Midwife wasn't worried when I saw her last week as no protein in my urine. What happened towards the end of your pregnancy?

Oh I was huge, I thought when my waters broken it would be like niagra! I lost the feeling in my top skin t the point I shaved my legs (trying to be clean for the birth) but took the top layer of skin off my legs without even knowing it, was horrendous. Had to have physio on my legs and back as it had damaged the muscles and ligaments, was hard as my knees were swollen so sitting down was hard, basically I looked like the michellin man! I used to go to work in little balerina shoes and when I got home I used to have to peel my cut feet out of them as they had swollen over the shoes, I ended up living in track suit bottoms and ugg boots, which was not an attractive combo!
