Well, we are team pink!!
Took ages to confirm it, was not playing ball, and even got a 4d image - will try and upload, but she looks really skinny! (Seems weird calling it 'she') xx

Yay,team pink! That's awesome news Lea. Does this mean full on shopping mode now?!
Excellent news on the heartbeat Olivia but sorry to hear about the stretching pains.

I think I'm starting to pop as well. Saw a friend today as she said there was a definite baby bump. I find it gets bigger throughout the day though. Been trying on a few maternity bits tonight and I look massive. Not sure if its all bump or some bloat as I had a massive dinner- will wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Got a few bits from Dorothy Perkins as they have been in the sale and its a bit of a mixed bag. Got a black wrap dress which is so comfortable and looks great (will be handy for work to be smart but comfortable) and some over the bump leggings which are great, nice and long and not thin (so no worry of a vpl through an over stretched leggings bum!) But I also got some over the bump supposedly skinny jeans that are rubbish at the mo. Really baggy knee'd and annoying. Might grow into them?anyone know of anywhere that does actual skinny, skinny maternity jeans?xx

Aw the first girl congratulations I remember the first thing I said was my boy looked like a alien on the 4d scan lol

Hey everyone ! Well, team blue here :D An active little boy kicking during the scan

I saw from the first second his little between the legs and was sure from the beggining! Even from the start I felt it is a boy, don't know why ! My hubby is happy but we will keep trying until we will have a little sister for him l lol :D

Yay, one of each so far...

I've ordered my first purchase - eek! It's so early, but some of the winter pram/snow suits are now all in sales. So I've ordered a fleecy all in one winter suit, that was £35 down to £15, I've ordered it in up to 14lbs, so fingers crossed, that should last through the winter! My daughter was only 6lbs and was in early baby stuff for weeks, so hoping similar this time round!
Xx

Aww lovely a handsome boy and a beautiful girl so far
I went to the shops today to look for maternity clothes (tops) as I have jeans which I am hoping will still all fit. I had a look in next but they didn't do maternity in the one I was in then went to new look couldn't find anything in maternity but I found a long sweater which is very stretchy and great long length
I also bought my first purchase for baby and i got the Ewan the dream sheep which I highly recommended x

Morning all,

So could to read all the messages and one boy and one girl in the group........ well I can add another bouncing baby boy!

knew it would be, have been convinced for a long time I can't carry girls! My son (who is 11) was very happy at the scan but my step daughter (who is 5) was not very happy, well one was never going to be happy with the result lol but my partner is chuffed as he will have one of each!

Today is the day I tell work too, so big day, but then have been off the last two weeks and now am struggling to hide 'him' :) So will spill the beans, being as I am nearly 17 weeks so not far off half way!

Hope you are all well and that this week is a good week for us all xx

Yey, another little boy :D For me will be very difficult to find a name but have plenty of time to choose . My

OH already have a name but I am not sure 100% if I want it so will see .

How is everyone today? How I hate Mondays, from half 7 just now had time to go to toilet and eat something, it is getting so busy. I have a headache disturbing me and a bad mood overall.

Have a good week everyone x

Ohhhh congratulations guys! It's all so exciting now that some of us are starting to find out :) x

I've just seen Ewan the dream sheep, never heard of it to be honest, but looks fab - and loads of pics of babies snuggled up to it is sooo cute!

I've also looked into a newborn photography shoot, which I would have to book around now! But her pics are amazing, she has done training in newborn photography, and you can tell, her pictures are amazing, they look like they should be Anne Geddes paintings! But if I book now, she guarantees she will fit baby in up to 2 weeks old - so they are proper newborn!

I feel like it's too early still to be sorting stuff like this out, but I suppose I need to start somewhere...I just want to get to tri 3 now, lol! I've had a friend that lost her baby at 22 weeks and another one whose baby was born at 26 weeks and it has no end of health problems, bless it. Just need to keep cooking! What would I do with myself if there wasn't something to worry about!
Xx

Oh Lea, so sad what happened with your colleagues babies. Let's be positive I say , I really want to cook this baby until due date at least ! I get as well fears that something might happen but I suppose there is nothing we can do about it and better stay positive.

Olivia , have a nice holiday! Hope you are going to sunny places :D

Is anyone feeling the baby yet? I feel his kicks but being so small definitely are not like proper kicks, more like a push.

Got midwife appt at 3

Exciting isn't it! Yeah have felt some movement, just want that reassuring kick to start, was worried as this scan and my NHS scan both times the baby was lying face down and didn't move loads? Hoping I just have a lazy baby rather than there is something wrong? Am still waiting on the blood results back too

Yay, another boy, exciting.
I know what you mean about Mondays Allysa, I just cant be bothered. Not happy with it being cold again as well. I'm 16 weeks today, yay. Got my appt tomorrow so hopefully all will be ok. I'll tell myself if its all ok I wont worry anymore, but I know I will! Feeling really hungry today, all I want is carbs.

I hope everyone else is ok xx

Congrats on 16 weeks , Amy! I am just one day ahead x

Midwife done, all quick and in a rush, she told me the results on blood test which were all fine, took me the blood presure, asked me if I feel kicks yet and that was all. Until I asked if I can hear the heartbeat :) She was happy to have a go, however she said they don't do it anymore because it is not reliable for the health and wellbeing of the baby.

Don't worry flick, I read a lot yesterday because my baby is head down and I was worried if that's ok ? But at this stage they are moving and rolling over a lot, maybe he was just asleep or lazy :D

I hope they let you hear the heartbeat here, if not I will be proper grumpy. I asked with my sister and they did for her just over a year ago.

I have felt the odd couple of movements that felt weird- not gas/wind, but I thought too early for baby (cos it was a week or so ago). As its my first time I'm not expecting to feel them, or recognise them for what they are, for a few weeks.

Just had another headache kick in, yay. Time for all the water and then to spend all evening needing the loo! x

I am fixing myself after a long busy working day with some pancakes oops

Morning, the midwife said to me that they offer the heartbeat scan at 16weeks normally, but because it is now always accurate (placenta could be blocking it etc) then people can get very worried and anxious if it isn't heard, but I said that I wanted to at least try and there he was nice and strong. I can see why they ask though as if I hadn't heard it I would prob have gone for a scan later that day out of panic lol x

Congratulations on another little boy to the group x
Ewan the dream sheep was a life saver for my little boy x
I haven't felt any kicks and I was 16 weeks yesterday but I have a anterior placenta and it was later on last time. I am so glad I have my scan on Saturday for reassurance x
I had a lovely day yesterday. I joined the October 2014 group when I was pregnant with my son and we or most of us have a page on fb so we have all kept in contact. One of the girls who stays in France was over for a few days in Edinburgh and we managed to catch up. It was lovely to meet face to face and see how well our little kids got on x
