October 2017 mummies :-)

I've had a mega busy weekend, ended up going to kisstory on Saturday night, which was fab, but there was nowhere to sit down...so the next day my ankles had swollen up like balloons! Thankfully had a spa day with an hour long pregnancy massage and they have gone back down now.

18 weeks today and feeling movement, but this is my second. It tends to be when I'm sat down after I have been moving around, I love feeling it, so reassuring!
I really look pregnant now, no denying it, lol!

That's making me feel jealous Lea! I sometimes feel like a fraud when I tell people I'm pregnant. I'm sure by the time I'm the size of a whale I'll be looking back on this and laughing x

Morning all,

Felt him moving around again a bit so feel a bit reassured (well am hoping it is him and not gas), can I ask a question? Has anyone else been having really bad diarrea (sorry for the TMI!!), am really suffering, 2 days now and I hardly slept last night as I was up and down, am worried that am going to start to cause damage to the baby with it? Any advice please :) xx

Sorry I can't help, I am the other way round, constipated . I personally think it shouldn't, maybe someone can advise you or you could ask your midwife .

I am feeling things in my belly but I am sure if it is the baby, the only thing which reassure me is listening to the Doppler in the evenings. Again I am aware it doesn't mean all is well, but puts my mind at rest . He is on the left side of the womb and the hb is around 140-150 ( sometimes going to 160), I feel pressure and often pains so don't know what he is up too .

x

I'm back after a busy weekend!

My husband races motorbikes so had no access to internet.

Had a rough day Monday but feeling better now, how is everyone else? Flick, nothing like that for me, however I suffer with 'episodes' because I am lactose intolerent. I take tablets before a meal so I can digest it but since I've been pregnant they sometimes don't work and in this case I get severe pain and the runs. It doesn't harm the baby at all, I've had lots of scans and my baby is still moving and kicking!

Felt movement for the first time Monday, I actually felt like a twinge in my belly to the left which went on for a while. I still have no belly! I don't even look pregnant!

Finding out the gender on saturday EEEK!

I'm having regular movements which is nice :) also showing and this is my first.

I did go through a phase of having diarrhoea but it's eased off...but things in that department are more soft and regular than usual! Sorry for TMI haha

Has anyone made any big purchases yet? Pushchair, cot etc.

Lea how was the pregnancy massage and what's the difference from a pregnancy massage compared to a normal one?

No not yet, although I do keep having a look xx

Yeah I have been looking at travel systems, really like the cossatto Fjord range but someone said they don't actually collapse that small!

Bought a back to nature bottle machine and a claire de lune wicker basket but both were in the half price sale x

I'm staying away from cossatto this time I had their foxtrott pushchair for my dd and the wheels wore down so fast it was unreal and £30 for a new set. Doesn't sound that expensive but i didn't think it was great when I hadn't had the pram 6 months.
Maybe it was the type of tyre I don't know but It put me off. Xx

I've definitely got a bump today, but as it has grown throughout the day I am expecting it to have gone by the morning and to just look fat again. Will be odd to wake up to a bump everyday.

Flick- I have bouts on and off where I can have a horrid day or two and then be find. I found it was more frequent during the first tri, fortunately haven't experienced it for a while. I wondered if it was all the extra fruit and maybe my body has got used to it. I usually know when its going to happen as I gt really bad cramps just before. I think the biggest concern with it is if it leads to dehydration. Just keep sipping on water and eat bland things til it passes. All of my scans and appointments have been fine so I think it can just be another symptom.

Not bought anything big yet or even really looked into what we want. I suppose I should soon so at least I can look for deals, but its like a stone I don't want to uncover at the moment as it means having to actually do stuff!x

The pregnancy massage was really good, it's essentially a normal massage, but you lie on your side and they do one side of your body (back, legs, feet), then you turn over and they do the other side. It was very relaxing and my ankles were really swollen so having them massaged was bliss! However, I do like massages quite hard, almost painful, to get rid of knots in my back and neck, and it was defo more gentle...I've got a really good physio who will put me through some pain though, so will see her soon I think....

Do we have any more gender reveals coming up? Team pink is outnumbered at the mo!
Xx

I have a teeny bump, people have started noticing it though. With my first nobody could tell I was pregnant at 30 weeks!
I have my gender scan on Sunday so I'm excited for that :) Hope everyone is well x

Exciting, 2 more gender reveals this weekend !

Lovely bumps ladies! I seem to have more fat but I am getting there. I am checking out prams and cot beds at the moment, I really like the icandy one's but they are quite pricey. I was thinking as well to buy things in a neutral colour ( grey, black ) so we shall see. I will start all purchases after my 20 weeks scan.

Sunny day today x ( still freezing tough )

Quinny ones looks nice ! I really need to go to a showroom and check them all out as I am petite and want a light one which is easy to fold / unfold , black and white sounds perfect for me :D
