*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Lovely pic, Fliss! Do you suspect what you may be having? I am rubbish at guessing! We are finding out in 25 days if the baby cooperates :)

I think it's a girl again as I feel so similar to last time but then I was convinced I was having a boy last time! We've all got to try weeing on baking soda soon :-)

OK, so I've got some excess padding on my belly from before - and a lot of this is belly flab, BUT I am now officially unable to suck my tummy in! 12 weeks today, and this is getting ridiculous! If I didn't know there was only one in there I'd be suspecting twins

Wow love the bump, I'm sporting something similar myself. I have been a bit quiet lately as I got nervous coming up to scan date, but all went well & there is a wriggly little baby in there, dates stayed exactly same, due date still 4th October. Unfortunately Im bit under weather got nasty eye infection & feel really rubbish, way more tired & all achey. Went to GP & potentially have virus but gave me antibiotic eye drops anyway. Called in sick for first time since I returned from last mat leave. Am 13+2 & can no longer hold my tummy in either, my normal (fat) clothes barely fit, but think mat clothes I have from last time are still a little big! Am at aquward in between size!! I didn't reach this point till at least 18 weeks on 1st pregnancy! Also travelling home to Dublin on Thursday & going to tell all family & friends this weekend, hoping it's not obvious before I open my mouth lol!!

Lovely bump Petchy, I'm of a pretty similar size.

Lovely scan Fliss

I still can't post my scan pictures for some reason lol xx

yay lovely bump and baby scan pics :) I remember last time they lost my blood samples twice! and I had to go to the main hospital because the nurse couldn't get blood from me both times...OUCH. So far so good with this time.

When are we able to do this bicarb test and what do you do again I've forgot x

So... i did the baking soda gender test a minute ago. At first it was still but shortly after started fo fizz up. Well, will find out for sure soon :)

Staceymo, you put some baking soda in a cup and pour equal amount of your wee into it. If it stays still it means you are having a girl and if it fizzes up that mean a boy :)

How did it go telling your boss and colleagues? I'm planning on telling my boss this week, then my colleagues after the scan next Thurs. I hate being the centre of attention!

I caught hubby's bug, been up all night with head down the loo. Thankfully he's taken the day off to look after dd as I'm no good to anyone today! X

It went really well, most of them had guessed but were nice enough not to mention it haha!

It's nice not to be hiding under a cardigan all day now :lol:

Hopefully your bug passes soon xx

Hi girls!

Loving the bumps and the scan pics :) I must get my latest scan pic uploaded. You can see the baby's little face quite clearly and he/she looks like he/she's going a little dance. It's really cute. And I'm convinced the baby looks like my husband! My sis thinks so too :)

@Carrie re the exercise, I've been going to the gym on and off but have just done the bike for a long period each time. Have been too lazy to do anything else really. I've managed to put on about 5lbs, ooops. Can't.Stop.Eating.Jellies. I better be careful because I don't want to get diabetes!

@petchy - I see we have the same due date now! cool :)

At what point do we move to tri2 - when we're in our 13th or 14th week??

@littletwix, I'm going by what they say here in Norway, which is 13+1 - as in you have completed week 13 and have just started week 14 of pregnancy :)

My due date might still be adjusted though, as they don't do the official dating scan until week 18 here.

Ladies!!!!! We bought first thing for the baby....aaaaaaa! A full set bottle sterilizer for £65 down from £150 at Mothercare. The price cut was too good to miss. I need someone to reassure me that we are not breaking some unwritten before-week-20 law :oooo:

If that's breaking the law then I'm a seasoned criminal! ;) In fact, I'm going to the shops later and fully intend to look at baby stuff, maybe even start stocking up on some plain vests and babygros...

Thanks Petchy! Waiting really doesn't seem to make sense! I want to enjoy these months, not worry about stupid superstitions! Ok, rant over :)

you're right to get the sterilizer! that's great offer :) It makes sense to get things early as it eases the financial pain a little.

My friend who's also pregnant bought their buggy when she was about 14 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'm itching to buy stuff myself but my husband is soooo anti-clutter that I fear he won't be too impressed if I buy the co-sleeper cot or the fancy monitor I've had my eye on!

AND It makes it so much more real and exciting when you buy stuff!

Once decorating is finished I'll be buying for definite
All rooms are up in the air but once done and new carpets are in, first purchase will be furniture so i can put everything else in them lol

We don't want to buy absolutely everything straight away but expensive stuff like buggy, sterilizer, baby monitor & crib. And sometimes you can find a crazy good deal online so it would be illogical to miss it!

I'm with you ladies; the OH is against buying anything yet, but I've already bought a car seat and moses basket without him knowing ! :D

We will be buying the travel system and monitor once we know everything is OK, as if I bought them and something terrible did happen I couldn't face looking at them!

I'm still in my exercise regime and sticking to it well, but I swear I've turned in to a bottomless pit; I just cant stop eating! I wish it was all decent food but surprise surprise it aint!

Well I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow to be put on aspirin
Is anyone else the same?
I'm not entirely sure why though x

ladies, I hope this doesn't sound like a image conscious question, please bare with me!

Does anybody feel like they are putting on a ridiculous amount of weight? I haven't weighed myself for a while and quite honestly don't dare, but I feel like I'm ever so round at the middle at the moment. Definitely not a bump as it isn't low, its more around my waist, and looks like I would after eating a huge meal, only twice as worse.

I have suffered with diet issues in the past and although I am well and truly over them and don't feel there is a risk of me slipping back in to those ways, I do worry about putting on too much weight as I know it wont be healthy for me of LO.

For all those mummies out there who are pro's and done this before, do you find that you get a bit 'chubby', then it peters out and looks more bump less weight? I'm just wondering because I know I am not eating as well as I usually do and have been eating a bit more, but I don't think it's enough to make my stomach as round as it is now. Its not bump shape yet, definitely more like my stomach when I weighed about 3 stone more!

I'm so confused!
