*** October 2015 Mummies ***

fliss - good thing you had the muslin to hand! and best of luck tomorrow, keep up updated.

Welcome Carrie! I'm sure that's just an implantation bleed you're getting :)

Baby2sky - about the gender; I'm thinking it's a boy too, I know it's only wishful thinking on my part because i have no reason to think it's a boy, other than the fact that I want a boy.

Although my normally very spotty hormonal skin seems to be clearing which is supposed to be a sign it's a boy. But that's an old wives tale.

is anyone going to find out the gender? i think we're going to, it'll help us decide with names anyway. It's going to be a nightmare trying to decide on names because my OH hates any name I suggest :(

Yeah, we are definitely finding out the gender, if baby is cooperative! I found out with my DS too, I just don't get how people manage to NOT find out :P

Same here! I'm not nearly that disciplined. I'm a pretty practical person and will want to get baby stuff in advance.

But in saying that I'm not a big fan of having everything pink for little girls so will be buying mostly neutral stuff if I can help it.

Thank you Ladies for reassurance, it's good to hear this from someone who has already been trough it x

Flisstebbs: I really feel your pain here! I hate the nausea... and food shopping. My oh loves going to supermarkets and wondering around isles endlessly so he is really gutted that nowadays we are in and out in 20min  I haven't actually vomited yet but came very close to it last week!

Baby2sky: Hopefully your little girl gives you a break, I can't imagine having a 2 year old roaming around when I feel ill & tired :hugs:

About the gender. When I think of the baby I think 'he' as I would love a little boy. OH on the other hand would really want a daughter. And this is mainly the reason why we will be finding out what we are having.

Ah thanks for the welcome guys! I really do hope it is little bean snuggling in, I like to be the hostess with the mostest, particularly in this case :-D Either way, will find out in a week or so.

I personally don't want to find out the sex, purely because I know there is a small chance that it could be wrong. If it was fool proof, I'd be up for it but because of the small possibility I'd rather not. My other thought behind it is that I can then buy lots of neutral stuff which will be suitable for kiddies in the future regardless of the sex, then you can let friends and family buy all the gender specific stuff when baby arrives lol! ;-)

My boobs are getting sorer
I'm very bloated but I'm overweight anyway so people will just assume I'm a bit fatter
I'm in bed about 7pm most nights recently cos I'm so dog tired
I've been getting heartburn but it's not too bad if I eat little and often although I'm turning my nose up at loads of stuff and I keep eating chocolate despite desperately wanting to lose weight
My skins gone all oily and spotty which is bad cos I pick!
I've had 3 back to back coldsores which are making me miserable
And I'm sporting some flatulence too!

Not to mention lots and lots of cramping and pinching pains although not so much of the pinching just recently x

Just popping my head back in ladies to say I am out! Spotting started yesterday ... Woke up to lots of blood this morning ... CBD confirmed what I thought. Wishing all you ladies a healthy and happy pregnancies xx

Scan today, but woke up to some fresh red spotting this morning with cramping so not feeling terribly hopeful. Still very sick this morning though, so who knows what today will bring. Got a morning clinic to get through, scan is at 11.20am. x

Bumblicious, so sorry hun x sending lots of :hugs:

Flisstebbs, fingers crossed for your appointment today x Some people experience bleeding and cramping throughout their pregnancy so try to stay positive (i know, easily said!) x

Oh, no Bumblicous - I'm so sorry! :(

Flisstebbs, I will be crossing my fingers for you! I had a bleed in my first pregnancy, which turned out to be nothing, so I hope this is the case for you too!

Bumblicious, i'm so sorry to hear that, hopefully you'll be back on this side of the forum very soon.

Oh fliss, what a worry. As KHTW says bleeding seems to be a thing lots of people experience and come through on the other side with a healthy baby. Hopefully it stops soon and they can put your mind at ease at the scan. Let us know how you get on x

hi mumagain! Congrats. I am due 30th. Look forward to sharing this journey with you xxx

Bumblicious, I'm so sorry to hear your news, sending lots of hugs your way x Hopefully you will be back here really soon. Welcome to everyone, not been on here in a few days due to work & there are lots of October Mummies now. Fliss I have my fingers crossed for you, I hope everything is ok, I've had friends who have had bleeding all through pregnancy & have healthy baby's now.
So had my booking in appointment this week. Got date for my 12 week scan & have date for first consultant appointment (due to complications in last pregnancy), all starting to sink in. Feeling v tired but not too sick thank goodness. How is everyone else doing? Has anyone told work yet? When are you planning on telling family & friends?
