*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Tell me about it. The food, I mean.... I'm such a foodie usually - love spicy food. Now, not so much. Yesterday's lunch I brought nearly made me hurl, so I went without food all day at work. Today, I was wise enough to bring some plain, buttered bread and some mild cheese. Beige food is my friend at the moment. That and, for some strange reason, tomato soup.

Beige is my friend at the moment, although right now there is a mountain of chocolate and crisps on our desk and we seem to be getting on quite well too...........!

Well ladies, I have a really bad cold! :( I just missed the flu jab and get presto I have flu!! Yuk!

I'm eating lots, which keeps sicky feeling away. I'm quite lucky, I'm reaching for carbs of course, but lots of fruit too! Never went for fruit with DS's always headed straight to the chocolate! :)

Is anyone else showing signs of a bump?

Is anyone else showing signs of a bump?

I'm on the fluffy side anyway, so can't exactly call it a bump - but my jeans are all too tight (and I haven't put on weight at all) so I'm already in maternity jeans  I had to start wearing maternity trousers in week 13 last time, but this just takes the piss... It's probably mainly bloat, though.

I think I can see it. From the pubic bone up I can definitely notice a little bulge, it looks different than before! I'm a bit of a lightweight.
So far I've put on 0.5kg (1.1 pound)

I'm really short and short-waisted too, only have 2 inches between the top of my hip bone and my ribcage... so even if it's not a proper baby bump yet, I guess the rearrangement of internal organs has already begun?

I've always been squidgy round the middle, so I don't think there is anything obvious at the moment. I really hate the inbetween chubby bit, I want to be normal then wake up one day and have a bump!

At the moment I have a little bit of a belly, but it is mostly bloat and the fact my diet isn't quite as good as usual. Soon ladies, soon.............!

I'm a big bloater haha..I don't think it's a proper bump yet. When do they start getting obvious I've forgot?

I'll post a picture when it definitely looks like a pregnancy tummy ...but I'm too ashamed to do it now

I know how you feel Stacey, my belly is a bit of a funny shape from being overweight in the past and I would never get it out in a bikini etc anyway, so not happy to show it off yet. I'm waiting for it to 'even out' before I believe its actually there.

Because I'm not a tiny girl I don't think I will show particularly early, but I would really love to. Hope little bean takes after daddy and is a biggun!

I just feel fat at the moment! Mind you I eat ALL the time, so chances are I am just a bit pudgy lol

Looking forward to a proper bump though! Second pregnancy I had one by 12 weeks!

Yeah I'm really looking forward to it too! Then it feels like it's more "official"!

I told my mum on her birthday earlier this week, and that has kind of helped to make it all seem a bit real, because she asks questions I hadn't even though about!

Has anyone else told their parents yet, and if so how did you do it? I sent my mum a birthday card from the bean saying it was saving her birthday cuddle until October and a picture of my early scan :)

That's such nice way to announce it, Carrie! I flew to see my mum day after I got my bfp (coincidence) and told her right away. I just said 'guess what mum, you'll be a granny'. And she didn't believe me at first!! haha :)

Ahh lovely! My Mum is across the pond at the moment, she's been doing lots of art work over there! So I sent her a picture of my two lines and said "we've been doing some art work of our own!"

:)

We let my DS announce it with a t-shirt that said "I'm gonna be a big brother" :)

I've no bump yet although its hard to really tell cos im overweight anyway by about 4-5 stone
Although in the last couple of weeks I've lost 6lbs!

Food wise... hmm not great
I have breakfast every morning at work which is milky porridge
I get worse as the day goes on
For lunch I've been eating tinned soup this week (heinz beef broth) with a bread roll for dipping!
Last week all i managed was crisps!
In between i have banana, satsumas and maybe an apple if im lucky
And aside from crisps as a snack
The drive home really sickens me and i just feel dreadful
The smell of cooking at tea time makes me worse
I more or less have nothing. If I do its a couple of mouthfuls of something but i turn my nose up at most stuff. A few times I've ate half a melon, just digging chunks out with a spoon lol

I just told my mum by text
Im too big a wimp!

Got a 2nd hand bargain today - too good to let slip. An almost brand new babybay bedside crib complete with starter kit for a quarter of the original price! I want to replace the mattress but that doesn't cost a lot.

Also, we went to visit my parents last weekend, and I brought home the crib I used to sleep in as a baby. Thought we'd keep it in the living room for those daytime newborn naps. I'm in two minds whether to paint it or not. Was thinking a nice light grey would look good - if I have time inbetween all the other DIY projects we need to finish around the house. Part of me also thinks the added sentimental value of leaving it as it was when I used it is nice... what to do? I know it looks wonky, I think it's just me having assembled it wrong and that it will balance nicely when I swap the two long rails round) It's in surprisingly good condition though, considering it has mainly been kept in the attic since 1980!
