****October 2014 mummies****

Vicky thanks. When are you going for your hols?
I have never had wax always just a shave but hoping that because I am forced to have a wax it will be better and longer lasting effect than shave. My hair a like a weed and after shave they were visible after 2 days. No pain no gain :)

Fortunately my rib bones are not popping but I don't think I would like to watch Alien the movie at current stage of my pregnancy.. Would freaked me out...

I got back from my hols on friday went to corfu for a week was lovely, sat out in the sun in a two piece bikini didn't care if people stared there was no way i was hiding in the shade all week lol

Waxing last a lot longer then shaving its been two weeks since I had mine done and it's still not grown back ... definitely worth the pain!!

My rib has already started popping with this pregnancy you can hear it to which is just nasty! !

I'm sure I've missed loads and sorry if I've missed scans. I'm rather busy here with my competitive exams starting in 10 days. Can't wait for the summer break (in other words mat leave).

Black panther congrats on team blue! Hope you get reassurance soon.

Taffy, what a clear pic! I'm so jealous! It's sooooo cute :)

Kat, I don't dare go for a wax. I went once and it was agony! And I thought I would bleed more than during labour... Maybe I shouldn't be saying this when you're all booked to go haha. Nevertheless it would be nice to be fluff free.

Haha I am off to Corfu on Friday we going to Canal D'Amour near Sidari can't wait...:) I got myself tankini and also taking my bikini so can alternate... I am getting burned easily so thought i will be swaping evey other day :)

Pips I don't think it looks like fluff anymore!! I am nore like Hairy Bikers :)

Good news about the scans yesterday.

Taffy love the pics. Reminds me of the one I have of joey with his legs over his head lol. Wish I could still move that way haha.

pips, hope your not too stressed. Look after yourself.

I didn't have a bad day, people from the councils home schooling department were around today to check on tonys progress and they were really happy with it. I am homeschooling him since just over 2 years now and still get nervous, but they said we are going the right path and revisit in half a year, once joey is here and we are settled into our new routine.
So that's off my shoulders, now I can concentrate on the cardiologist scan tomorrow. I do feel nervous again... but I think once this one comes back ok I can finally stop worrying and enjoy the last 16 odd weeks of pregnancy. :yay:

Vamps..good luck for tomorrow lovely :)

I'm thinking I'm going to have to brave a wax as I get further into pregnancy, last time it was like I hacked at myself! Lol

Today is V day for me! Eeep..it's a strange feeling but my gosh has this pregnancy gone quick so far. I think it's down to being busy at work and having a 18month old to run around after. I'm finishing work on the 19th September which gives me a week and half before baby is due to relax and get sorted. All my dates get signed off tomorrow as well which makes it all real too.
x

Yay to V-days time!! Mrs Woody:pompom:
for tomorrow :pompom: steffy, CoachQueenie,SusanH

Wax was paintful but I think it was worth it... 2 weeks of hair free life...

Good luck for tomorrow Vampys. xx
We will see if our boy is going to behave this time... i think he got another growth spurt as he is so much calmer then usual and my bump seems to be almost suffocating me in last couple of days...

BTW One Born Every Minute is back from today :) 9pm CH4 :)

Happy v-day mrswoody. :yay: such a big milestone.
Can't wait till I reached mine on Sunday.

Good luck to you too kat. Fingers crossed or boys play along and behave

Happy v day Mrs woody and the girls tomorrow .

Good luck Lynn and kat , let's hope the little men behave themselves , surely we wont have to go for the 3rd time lol.

Have any of you October mummies decided when they are going on maternity leave yet? Xxx

Yep, so I'm due Oct 13th. My first official day of maternity leave starts then, right before that I'm taking 2 weeks of annual leave, and because where I work are great, I'm also taking off all the bank holidays that fall during the year I'm taking off - so I'm taking off every Friday leading up to October (8 of them) :)

I'm finishing work on 24th August (my weekend at work) Will be 34 + 3, then got 3 weeks annual leave to use so mat leave will start on 15th September. Hopefully then I'll have used my holidays up before baby comes depending what consultant decides on 2nd Sept. but I'll still have a month off before he comes (I hope) xx

That's very good of them! Good on you for working so close to your due date, I really want to but don't think I'll be able to. Already struggling with pgp and my job is hard work. I have 3 weeks holidays, thinking leaving at 33 weeks so mat would start at 36 weeks. Feeling really confused to whether that will be too soon because I want the time after with the baby but worried about how I will cope working xx

Yeah - it might be that closer to the time I decide I need to be off earlier, but it's a desk job (SEO), so it shouldn't be too bad. Hubby is already dropping me off at work and picking me up (I get a pain in my side when I walk across town). If I need to I'll rethink it, but that's the plan :D

Sounds like a good idea, we have to listen to our bodies I think. I'm on my feet a lot and do long hours, late nights etc so I don't think that's helping matters for me xxx

No indeed - in fairness, if I still worked at the local hospital, doing those hours, I'd go off way sooner!

Great news on all scans and the ladies reaching v day yipeeeee!
Today I have my 20 week scan just got to get through work this morning but feeling excited but nervous :)
