OBSTETRICS APP! What for!?

Hi girls!

I'm gonna have friday the 12 weeks scan
I already had a scan around 6 weeks that showed baby is fine and had a HB.
Today I received a letter saying I have an appointment on 16 November at Obstetrics (I will be almost 16 weekes by then)
but it doesn't say why
my midwife put me in risk category because I'm slim(I've been like taht all my life)
could this be the reason???? or what else?

thanks for your answers, I still can't find a reason, I'm 29 years, first pregnancy, I don't have medical problems or medical family problems... huh

Try not to worry too much
I've to see the consultant before my scan next week because I had a blood transfusion last year after dysfunctional uterine bleeding and previous mental health problems. The way I see it it's a good thing, making sure me and baby are fine

I agree, the more appointments you get the more assurance things are going just fine..... wish I would get seen but just waiting on a scan date then midwives again after.... xx

isnt a OBSTETRICS to do with a surgical side of pregnancy?? as a midwife isnt involved in surgical??

do you have tiny hips? could tehy think that you might not deliver normally? could be a number of things really couldnt it

I called my midwife, she confirmed me that the consultant from obstetrics will just check me, will keep an eye on developing of the baby because I'm slim

oh, I feel relief! she also told me she received my blood tests results and all of them are fine
excited is not a proper word, excited till the moon and back would be a bit closer
mu husband will not go to work tomorrow coz the scan is at 12.20 so we will have a longer weekend!
I told my bro to take his wife and go to my parents tomorrow evening(they are not living in Uk) coz I have something important to tell them( They don;t know yet I'm pregnant)
