What a dilemma!! :) I have two nursing bras that I've been wearing for ages and really need to invest in more. Problem is that in the next few weeks when my milk comes in properly my size will probably change, so do I buy a bigger size now, or wait and get them when baby arrives? :eh:

The nice lady in M&S told me to go back and get measured at 37 weeks, they allow for room for when your milk comes in :)

Ah excellent!! I just hate the thought of spending money on something I'll use for only a couple of weeks! Guess where I'm going tomorrow!! :)

Do Mothercare do a fitting service too? I looks in our local M&S the other day and they really didn't have a big variety!

M&S Very good at measuring for maternoty and feeding bras and will give you one a cup bigger - even the smaller ones wil be well used once your mik settles and you need a smaller one - i have quite a few in slightly different sizes because i leak like mad and have to change them frequently x

I worked in mothercare (admitedly it was 10 years ago) and the training for bra fitting involved watching aninstructional video. None of the staff were confident and the ones who were "trained" used to hate being asked to do a fitting cos they werent really sure what they were doing!!! It might have just been the store I worked in, but having seen this, I will never ask staff for advice in mothercare!!

I do trust the M&S stores tho, they always seem to give good advice. I might go back, Im not wearing bras much these days cos my baby is so high I spend the whole time with my finger under the band to stop it squashin the baby! Ive bought a couple of vest tops with built in support which do a fairly feeble job lol

MM if you can find a bigger M&S store then I would recommend it, their staff are supreme at measuring and knowing what you need - good luck xx

will M+S cover bigger ladies do you think? if so i might go down there this week :)

I would imagine they do BB - the larger the store the better I would say. The one at Cribbs is fantastic, they have a huge bra section and a very good maternity/nursing section too :)

We have some good size stores but the best range is probably Princes Street in Edinburgh and I just can't walk that far. Maybe if I go for advice to the local one I could then order online.

I'd go at 37 weeks or more and buy 1 or 2 cheap ones then when you have feeding established treat yourself to some nice ones. I've had stuff from here http://www.envie4u.co.uk/ and they are really good. They do underwire nursing bras which are a god send when you're a 40E like I am at the moment! You can wear underwire till you get past 12 weeks nursing so I will be getting my new ones very soon!! It's so nice to have a nursing bra that feels like a normal bra if you plan on feeding for a while like I do! :D

I went to M&S last week honey, got measured and got a two pack, one white and one black. Very comfortable x

Thanks everyone. I have two already because they seemed to be the most comfortable the last time I was fitted. I'm a 40dd already so I dread to think what they might go up to  I like the idea of the underwired ones as before pregnancy it was underwire all the way! Time to shop I think :)
