We're planning on moving Isla into her own room in the next couple of weeks but her nursery is cold! It's got two outside walls and never seems to warm up like the rest of the house.

I put the Gro Egg in there last night and it was 16 degrees - chilly! In our room, it's normally around 19 degrees.

We can't even keep the door open to get some heat in from the rest of the house as we have a cat who can't be trusted!

I'm thinking of putting an oil-filled electric radiator in there - it has a thermostat so will go on and off as the room heats up but I'm worried it will then get too hot!

Anyone got this problem!?

cant you just use a sleep bag and an extra couple of blankets x

What size sleeping bag do you use? A 2.5 tog will be fine for that temperature, I used one in the winter when the temperature was always less than 16 degrees even with the heating on, and zac was toasty xxx

She's got a 2.5 tog so I guess she will be fine at 16 degrees as long as it doesn't get any cooler. The sleeping bag I've got has detachable arms which I'm not using, so I suppose I could attach them if needed.

Babies are always a lot warmer than us, I have the same one with the arms and it says you can use it from 10degrees, so I wouldn't worry. They don't make higher togs because babies can overheat easily, so she will be fine. Zac is in a 1 tog at the moment and it's 18degrees in his room, he is still toasty xxx

Yes, i used it in the winter with the arms on, but have been using a 1tog with no arms for about a month or so now x
