Numb spot on bump?

Just wondered if anyone has ever had a numb spot on their bump? Last Sunday I though I could feel a body part lodged up into my ribs and was very uncomfortable. Since then I have been sore there and skin a bit itchy. When I scratch or press I can feel all round apart from a patch that has gone numb - is this normal????

Hey Beanster....YUP!
Mine started as a little patch which was itchy then got bigger and bigger and eventually spread right accross my bump!

So I mentioned it to MW who asked if Id had Shingles.....I had a few years ago and she said it could be somethng to do with that! But when it started getting bigger I asked consultant who explained it was my skin stretching and the nerve endings being damaged and that it should go away once I had the baby!

It hasnt...im still as numb as can be and its not showing any signs of getting the feeling back but it doesnt bother me in any way xxx
