Ok, My OH bought an angelsounds he other day( ebay auction couldnt resist!)
We both agreed not to get it out an listen until at least 9-10 weeks, but what did we do ??? Yep we did. But now its got me all worried, i cant even hear placental whooshing , no faint heartbeat zip, nada, i know its too early for the FH but surely i should be hearing the placenta

I could be wrong, but I don't think the placenta fully takes over until 10ish weeks - which is why lots of women start to feel better then.

Don't be worried, u know urself u used it too early :)

i know, i guess im just anxious to know the little beans ok, my first m/c was at 6 weeks xx

I know the waiting is the worst but worrying yourself with the doppler isn't helping x

I think its still too early hun. Baby is still so small and low down too.

I have a angelsounds tucked away and I'm not getting it out until at least 10 wks, but even then I know it maybe too early. But I'm dying to get it out lol

The waiting is the hardest part x

Far too early hun. In my experience you'll have no chance until after 9 weeks. I heard mine at 9+6.
Come on hun, you know its faaaaar too early, dont stress x

Like Jayjay said, baby doesnt start relying on the placenta for a good few weeks. I honestly wouldn't worry! I think dopplers are the work of the devil- dont get me wrong, they're great and give you the chance to hear baby whenever you want, but as soon as you cant hear what you want to hear, it sends you into a panic!

cheers guys, i know im being daft, but ive just got my app through for my first scan in about 4 weeks, and my midwife app is in 3 weeks so it all seems kinda real now, its been put away and i wont be getting it out for another few weeks xxx

You have zero to be worried about, i'm over 16 weeks now and the midwife only just found the heartbeat 2 days ago and then it took her ages to find as baby is tucked away right at the back somewhere!

Try not to worry smurf, many midwives wouldnt be able to auscultate fetal heart that early, hence why they don't do it. As long as your not bleeding/strong cramps etc then try relax :) I know easier Said than done x

Don't panic :). You've still got a long way to go and babs has got a lot of growing to do :D. Xxxx

This is why i decided not to get a doppler. Again like others have said by week 10 or so thats when the placenta starts to take over.
