I'm still EBF Eva and she is such a bright wee soul, bless her, but so nosey!

This makes feeding a bit of a faff during the day when she's all happy and stimulated. She grabs for the hair, or necklace (learnt to tie back/remove jewellery!) and generally look alllll around her in case she's missing something.

Sometimes, she'll even take my nipple with her when she turns to look! Ouch.

Anyway, this means she's getting itty bitty feeds and I'd rather she got a good feed!

Do any of you relate? If so, how did you handle it/encourage a better, full feed?

Should say, at night, she feeds perfectly, as she's dozing. She's a great weight for her height and has plenty of wet nappies etc.

xxx

Lol! Curious baby :)

I'd say if she's happy, healthy, gaining weight and leaving bum-pressies as expected - leave her to it. If she was hungrier, she'd eat more and gawp less. At least she's takin an interest in what's around her :) xx

Awe bless her!! I know that bringing the nipple with you thing my so used to do that! Lol I would just leave her to it x

Thanks, ladies. I'm a feeder so worry she's not getting enough but what you say makes perfect sense! Xxx

I used to take h into his darkened nursery so there wasn't anything to distract him!
Xxx

My little man pulls my nip with his gums whilst he turns his head, especially if he hears daddy coming into the room.
Your lo sounds like a healthy normal nosey baby - just what everyone wants.
I dont know if theres much you can do, maybe a slightly subdued and quiet room to feed in?? TV down low, lights down very slightly?? would that work?
My lo smiles whilst he is feeding, especially if you talk to him but even when you make eye contact. Then the milk all tips out of the side of his mouth and goes all over me! Cant help but love that gummy milk mouth though :) x

my LO is terrible for being nosey. Any little thing and she'll turn for a look, with nipple in mouth. I just feed her in the quiet now unless we are out, in which case I've been known to cover up her ears with a scarf, and her whole head sometimes too, just so she'll eat something. I just let her get on with it. Means we have feeds all over the shop, but I can't get her to concentrate for long. Tried a nursing necklace to focus her on feeding but that didn't work brilliantly. x

 just typed a big reply then hit back space!

Anyway, I'll definitely try the darkened room and no eye contact, although it's so hard when they give you the big smiles. It's my favourite view of her, when she's all cuddled in and feeding!

Have a cheapy necklace which I've subbed for my nice one and she loves it, so I'll start wearing it more often!

Thanks again :) xxx

If I am at home I feed C in a quiet place because he is so distracted when feeding. At night he is a brilliant feeder. Xx
