Hi everyone,

Am in my 6th week of pregnancy and the only thing that helps with morning sickness is weetabix and milk . I'm going through about a pint a day of semi skimmed, is this ok? Have looked on line and there's points raised for both sides.

Thank you for reading

xx

hi hunni calcium is really important in pregnancy in fact my pct is doing a pilot sceame where they give expectant mums calcuim tablets from 20 weeks as it is meant to help with keeping blood pressure under control. and if your feeling that sick and its the only thing u can keep down i wont worry either as at least u r getting something into u !!!!! hope this helps xxx

Milk is perfectly fine.
I sometimes drink soya milk with cereal but I'm more of a normal milk person.
Get that milk down you! Baby needs it xxx

I have a dairy intolerance, however when I was pregnant I craved milk and drank it. My symptoms disappeared! Unfortunately they've come back now ella is here :-( I'll just have to get pregnant again  I say drink the milk hun! Baby obviously wants it :)

i cant stomach drinking milk normally, but when i'm pregnant i crave it from 3rd tri! i was drinking about 6 pints a day  that was a tad excessive, but i always say whatever you crave is what baby needs!

:thanks: Thanks for the messages all! Milk has been left by the wayside now though, am now eating my own body weight (which is substantial!) in grapes.............:p
