As I sit here, miserable and in pain, I am truly curious as to why people enjoy being pregnant. I realize not everyone has horrible symptoms, but I'm still at a loss.
Personally, I've had about 2 weeks where I have felt like a normal human being. I had morning sickness up to 18 weeks, and then the severe back pain started at 20 weeks. I can't sleep at night, simply shifting positions at any point in my day makes my back scream in agony, and as evidenced by this post, it is making me severely cranky!
So with that out of the way, tell me what I am missing out on! Is it the attention? Is it just the joy of knowing we are all growing wee babes and will soon have them to hold in our arms? When I think about that last bit, it does make me happy, but all the negatives are really wearing me down this week.
On the bright side, I think I am finally looking pregnant instead of just fat! While out grocery shopping yesterday, a fireman insisted on carrying my basket while I was waiting in line to pay, as I "shouldn't be carrying heavy things".
I've never expected THAT type of attention before..made me giggle.
