He's here! Jess began to have contractions at 2am, and gave birth to our gorgeous boy Noah William a few hours later at 5.38am. Textbook birth, only a TENS machine for pain relief, and back home a few hours later!

Didn't get the home birth unfortunately, as there were no midwives available, but he's happy and healthy and that's all that matters. So proud of my wife, even if she did tear my hand to shreds during the throes of labour!

Weighed in at a meaty 8lb 10.5oz.

From one very proud dad :)

PS. for those reading my blog: I only decided to post extracts from a book I'm writing about halfway through the pregnancy, so it's about 20 weeks behind - don't worry, Noah wasn't premature!

PPS. I can wave this goodbye... :sleep: - now more like :shock:

Aw congratulations!! What a gorgeous baby and the most wonderful name (can you tell that Noa's the name we've decided for a boy?!) x x shame about the home birth! As long as he's happy and healthy and so is mum that's all that matters x
