Hi ladies!

Im either coming up to 7 or 8 weeks (not really sure irregular cycles)
And ive had very few symptoms. I've just been tired from about 9pm (like falling asleep on sofa) and very occasionally very hungry all morning to the point where I feel sick.

I'm terrified something is wrong....

Where I live you have to register a pregnancy online and then a midwife comes and sees you - I'm seeing them next Friday which I will be either coming up to 8 or 9 weeks pregnant, still not have had a scan...

Is this normal? Perhaps I'm over worrying as I had an early mc last year...

Any advice welcomed xxx

Hi SunshineKim,

In a word, yes, it's perfectly normal! Or that's what every doctor and midwife I've seen so far keeps reminding me! I'm 9+4 today and have literally had nothing. No nausea, no painful boobs, no anything apart from a wee bit of tiredness. I've had 3 scans already (for other reasons) and everything has been fine. I saw my midwife this morning for the first time and she said 'enjoy it, its a old wives tale that no symptoms means anything, you're lucky'... but it is disconcerting. You almost just want something as reassurance don't you! I'm sure everything will be fine but keep us posted!! (PS are you on the December due date thread as you must be due in December?) xx

I had no symptoms throughout my last pregnancy (apart from being exhausted and needing to wee a lot!) so don't worry. Hoping I'm as lucky this time!!'

Thanks ladies - very reassuring!

I am in the December thread but I haven't posted much! Want a scan first to make sure everything is fine before I get too excited xx

I know what you mean about wanting a scan first before you get too excited. I'm the same! I've read that quite a lot of women don't get symptoms early on, but that it's nothing to worry about. Good luck with your first midwife appointment. Hope it goes OK x

That is reassuring :) I've had very mild symptoms off and on and it's good to know that no symptoms is not necessarily a bad sign Thanks everyone
