No sex drive and PCOS

Is this why I have no sex drive? Google offers different information. Is it a known "symptom"?

Not as far as I am aware, but then again an hormonal imbalance can account for a lot. I believe low sex drive is more a symptom of depression than PCOS. Big hugs xx

I don't think so, but you never know! My consultant told me that it doesn't affect libido, but he's never had it so what does he know! It's never affected mine, in fact it has the opposite effect when I get my surges when were you diagnosed? Xx

Hey Kitty, it's a lot to take in so I do understand. The good thing now is that you do have a diagnosis so you know what you're dealing with. When I first got diagnosed I got sick of people telling me that having kids wouldn't be a problem and telling me that Victoria Beckham is proof of that! I didn't want to hear it and I got very down. However, here I am now pregnant with my second child. If ever you want to chat or anything feel free to pm me. It will get better, it will. (sorry, I hated people telling me that too, but turns out it's true!) Xx

Ditto. PCOS in the grand scheme of things is exceptionally manageable for most women with it. It becomes much more problematic when combined with other fertility issues, like endo or blocked tubes, so you just have to find a way of managing it that works for you. I too am now luckily expecting my second baby and I have PCOS which I have known I have had since about 15 (now 33). I actually find it funny now how much I let it bother me at the beginning. It is ridiculously common and very manageable. I have to add though, and I don't wish to sound rude or offensive, but how are you managing your depression (I recall you mentioned that in your other posts)? Are you being treated for that? I only ask because from your posts and your descriptions of how you feel and physical aspects seems much more attributable to that than PCOS. PCOS is a funny one to get your head round when not depressed, so suffering with depression will make that seem far worse than it is (I speak from experience). Depression is a far more unpleasant illness than PCOS so I hope you are getting the help and support you need for that first and foremost.
