Hi there,

I’ve recently found out I’m expecting I’m told I’m at about 8 weeks ( I still don’t understand why it’s different to the test but that’s what I was told by the midwife over the phone.) From what I know I should be experiencing morning sickness by now but I feel fine is this normal? I’m a bit on edge cos it’s my first time and I don’t know what to expect ( I’ve been getting other symptoms like bloating and tiredness and was dizzy earlier on but this has settled...what are other people’s experiences? Thankyou x

Welcome to the forum! When was your last period? Usually midwives work it out from that whereas the tests that tell you how far you are only work it out from conception I think.

I felt sick but wasn't sick with my first baby from week 6 to about week 10. I found as long as you eat regularly this can really help prevent that queezy feeling.

I'm only 5 weeks at the moment with no2 so it's not really kicked in for me yet but if I let myself get hungry then I do feel sick.

Everyone is different! Some people don't feel any sickness at all, some get it really bad for the whole first trimester. Some only have it for a week or so. You might be one of the lucky ones!! You have other symptoms by the sounds of it which are good pregnancy signs.

Everyone has a different experience and some women don't get sickness :) don't worry yourself as I've had terrible sickness since week 7 and trust me u don't want it hahaha if u can get through first tri without it then I'm mad jealous and happy for you haha xxx

Don't worry I've had no sickness and I'm nearly 11weeks now.

Everyone is different

Don't worry about it. I'm 13+2 And haven't been sick once. I've had nausea, but not actually been sick and the nausea is on and off!

Hi Naomi,

my only symptoms have been sore boobs, hunger and tiredness and I am approx. 9 weeks so try not worry yourself .. not everyone will have the same symptoms and if anything we are quite lucky (or at least not yet maybe!)

xx
