Harrison has them, I've managed to pull a load out of his hair this morning & OH has just gone out to get some stuff to treat them cause we've probably all got them now. I'm a little upset that he has them because we're now going to have to cut his hair and I liked it the length he has it now :( I dunno how we're gonna comb his hair cause he hates it being combed. He's more than likely caught them from nursery & I know he's going to probably catch them lots more as he grows up :(

aww noooo, poor Harrison, I am not looking forward to that when Jack starts nusery, guess you can't really avoid it though can you

If it is possible try to just comb them out with conditioner in his hair cause the stuff they use to get rid of Nits nowdays doesnt work very well anymore apparently, they have become immune to it. Plus conditioner is probably nicer for Harrisons scalp and hair instead of the dodgy chemicals they put in it stuff like lyclear.

i was told the other day by my doctor that they dont like you using the nit solutions on lo under 3 because there scalp isnt strong enough to take it and can cause side affects (my neice had nits so i went to check with the doc iin case hannah got them) i just went a bought tea tree nit repelant shampoo and spray from morrisons

My OH brought some cheapy Vodka, both mine and OH's parents recommended it to us. Ive had to cut his hair :( used OH's clippers done a no.7 on him and then put the vodka on carefully with a flannel, run the nit comb through and I think i've managed to get them all out cause we can't see anymore eggs or nits but we'll treat his hair again tomorrow! He has nursery tomorrow so i'll mention to them about it!

hopefuly that is all of them. i would have suggested conditioner as well.

Also, check your hair and OH's. make sure you havn't got the buggers.

how did you cut his hair with clippers!!! alice panics when i try and trim her fringe!!!

Lol he is very good actually, the first time we cut his hair he cried but he was still young but now days he doesn't mind and as I put the clippers through his hair he pushes his head forward too lol. Yeah we've checked our hair and I have them :wall: but OH doesn't luckily. OH has done his hair though and I'm gonna do mine in a min before my shower. I thought my days of catching nits were gone when I left primary school lol.

Uh oh! He'll prob get them loads while he's little because kiddies play head to head and they can't jump so just crawl from head to head. Conditioner def seems to be the best thing - brush it through as they can't cling on or it breaks their legs or something like that.
V glad that I haven't got them from anywhere I've taught but I have sat behind a girl in assembly who had them and they were HUGE! Like ants crawling in her hair! I phoned her mum to come and collect her from school!

Well I've pulled a couple of really tiny ones as small as a pin prick, I think they'd just hatched but we've treated his hair again and will keep on if we find anymore.
When I took him to nursery yesterday I mentioned it to the Manager and that he probably caught it from there as he doesn't see any other children out of Nursery, stupid woman said to me 'Well he probably caught it from an adult outside of nursery' I dont think so, he has only been with me, OH and round my Mums recently and none of them have nits. Some people are so ignorant!
