NIPT/Harmony Test

Has anyone had a NIPT/Harmony test?

With my daughter I had a 1:30 chance of downs following the NT scan/blood test and I opted to have an amniocentesis, which is as terrifying, but all was fine. It has taken 4 years to conceive this little miracle and 5 MCs so I'm really nervous about what will be following the nuchal measurement and blood test in a few weeks (especially as I'm now 6 years older). So think I may go for the NIPT/Harmony test privately for my own piece of mind.

Am I bonkers?

If it puts your mind at rest, it will be absolutely worth it xx

I had it with my second lo as I was going to be 39 when he was born and I didn't want the stress of possibly coming back high risk on the nuchal testing. I had the serenity test and it was money well spent x

You need to do whatever is right for you. Worrying about an amino isn't going to help baby, whatever keeps your mind at ease will be well worth it. I know someone who had NIPT and they said the whole procedure put them at ease.

I had it done, worth every penny xx

I wouldn't hesitate to have it done either esp if the 12 week came back as higher than norm x

Just booked the test for Tuesday lunch time, eeeek x
