I think Jake is starting to have them, he cries and kinda sobs in his sleep so I normally rub his head or back and he kinda looks at me half asleep and seems ok after that, does anyone else's LO have these too?

Aw I think K is too young still. I am not looking forward to that! Poor Jake!

Owens done this too . Suddenly makes this horrible inconsolable cry from no where in his sleep. It's horrible! X

Mum of Owen. Born 11/7/11 @ 19.17pm weighing 7lb 12 oz :)

We have had this once or twice but he is still asleep- think they r night terrors and have read that LO not even aware of it! Read somewhere that nightmares are when they wake up after it, can remember it all and r scared! If he's not awake maybe its just a night terror? So hopefully he's not even aware of it xxx

K-Man's only 3 months old but he has these hysetical crying moments that come from no where when he sleeps, and i go in and he cries with his eyes shut.. So i put his dummy in, this soothes him but i end up having to stroke his head to make sure he's ok, i heard ur not meant to wake them. Its heart wrenching hearing a PROPER cry and when it's out the blue.. It's the quickest you'll ever see me get out of bed at 2am! lol..
If he's too young to dream, what else could it possibly be??

I think with the night terrors it is just the brain being half awake and half asleep at the same time as they shift between sleep cycles, or summin like that?! So its not a nightmare as such and if his eyes r still shut then he probably isnt aware of it! Agree with u tho, not nice when u get a sudden cry like that- makes me leap up too! xx
