Nightfeeds Chat Thread

Sounds like there were some good nights to be had!
E went down at 6:30, woke at 8 moaning but could be resettled. Woke again at 10 screaming so booked her back to sleep. Then got a 4 hour stretch til 2. She woke up at 4 crying and when I picked her up she proper screamed, woke herself up and was all smiles! She was happy enough in her cot just looking at her stars projector. Next bit is a bit of a blur but she ended up in bed with me until 8! We're now waiting for the midwife to come who's 15 mins late! Hate things like that. I've got better things to do than wait around here!

Hope she arrives soon Sophie Jane.

Tigger, hope jake has a bit of a lie in for you.

Henry did 3 and a half hours, quick feed and change then 2 hours and the coslept for 3 more...although he is so bloody noisy I'm not sure how much sleep I got!!

Well it didn't really work putting Seren back in her basket after the 4.30 feed! She did stay in there fairly happy until just after 6 but she was so noisy and kept being sick so I couldn't sleep! Think I'll stick to cosleeping for the last part of the night for a while! Still pleased with how the night went though, one of our best yet :-)

Tigger I hope you managed to get some more sleep, naughty jake!

Sophie does E actually want to feed when she wakes or just need settling back? Hope the mw didn't keep you waiting too long.

Sounds like most of us actually had OK nights, lets hope it continues! Xxx

Hi ladies! I've had such awful nights last couple of days that I've been too tired to even post! Little man has a full on cold so sleep is a distant friend... Last night was best night in ages and it still consisted of 3 feeds plus 10 wake ups to settle! 10!! BUT there was some sleep in between thank god! Strange how a 'good' or 'bad' night is always relative to the current situation!
Hope you're all well. Xxx

Midwife kept me waiting half an hour in the end...grrr! She thinks we should take Ella to a sleep clinic.
She does drink every time at the breast ammandaz but not starving guzzling, so maybe it's more just to settle herself. Don't really know how else to calm her though. She just gets really worked up until she's on the boob. She never liked a dummy or anything

Oh no spin!

We're up for first feed too but Seren went down at 8 and woke at 1.30 which is a really good stretch for her :-) she's dozed back off on me now so really should put her back in her bed and get back to sleep myself! Xxx

Down at 9.45, up at 3.15! Feels amazing. Still feeding now, but he has a wet head and top of his shoulders - no idea what from?! His hairs dried out and is all matted together now...

Ohh tigger that sounds delightful lol!
Were up for second feed which is unusual. Just don't know what's up with her lately. Seems like most babies at three months are sleeping through, yet mines getting worse :-(

Hello ladies. Long time no see! Well I changed fars bottle yest to a mam anti colic. She fed 9pm/1am and now 6am. Seems to be less windy so far xx

mummy to ds 11/7/11
mummy to dd 16/9/13

Tigger could it be sick? Henry is sometimes sick to the side and it runs round to back of his head which is then soaking!! Nice

It was on his change mat so no idea! He's not very sucky so I never expect it but could be.

Just up for 2nd feed :-) he did wake at 5.15 (an hour after going down) but I must have fallen asleep, and so did he. Makes me think I go to him too easily. He just grunts and sucks his fist loudly and makes noise - but never cries. Would you leave them??

Spin I don't think your the only one with a 3 mth old that doesn't sleep through. I highly doubt jake will - anything longer than 3 hours is a fluke with him lately!

Yes tigger, if I were you I'd try leaving him for a bit if he's not actually crying. Occasionally Seren will go back to sleep that way, especially if I put ewan on.

I'm quite pleased with our night again. 8.00-1.30, 2.00-4.50 then coslept and she's just had another quick feed now. She's dozed back off again but I'm actually feeling wide awake which must be a good sign as I normally still feel knackered come morning! I'm hoping this might be a new routine for her as although it might not seem good to some it's good for us and is so much better than how my DS was sleeping at this age xxx

So worried :( lo threw up her 5 feed yesterday and only had 1oz at 7, only had 2oz at 4am and only 1 again at 7 this morning and has been sleeping the whole time :(, really hope she wakes up hungry soon :( xxxx

Is she having a growth spurt? This happens with J. He has a sleepy day and then a hungry day. A few weeks ago too he wasnt keen on eating at all!

I'm not sure Hun, she's 7 weeks today so maybe :)! Just worrying when I know she didn't have much either yesterday! Seems her usual happy self tho! Xxx

Im sure she is ok. Just being a little fussy atm. Hopefully things get better tomorrow so that you can relax a little xx

Oh no! Just got up for the night feed and I forgot to plug my phone in. Only have 4% battery left...it's going to be a long hour trying to stay awake when it dies!

First world problems! :-P

Xx

Gutted Spin! Did you end up falling asleep?
Have had another shitty eve and night. I may just stop posting here in fact as it's becoming quite depressing. Ella had her jabs yesterday. Fed her and put her to bed at 6. She woke up proper crying at 8 and escalated into screaming for an hour. The only way I could get her to stop crying was to blow her butterfly mobile and sing the grand old duke of York incessantly! Don't ask!
Managed to feed her and get her to sleep. She woke up at 2 and then crying at 5. Had to change her pooey nappy and we're now feeding. Am off out for a run in an hour or so so hope she falls asleep ok.
How were your nights?
