Nightfeeds Chat Thread

I've done the bm up the nose, it really worked! I just used a little pipette thing I had from the infacol, washed it thoroughly, sterilized it, expresed a bit of bm into a sterilized bottle & just put 2 drops in each nostril, then blow in his face to make him breathe it in.

He had a snuffly nose for 2 weeks, and after 3 times of doing this it was gone!

Yep exactly. Just use a pipette (I was given one free from the chemist) or a syringe. You could even try just rolling a bit of tissue and twizzling it up there.
Hope everyone's not too tired. The bags under my eyes look horrendous!lol

I actually managed a nap this afternoon. Yaaaay.
Went to docs and got all clear to drive, Yaaaay again!

Fx for a good night!

Harrison is refusing his bedtime bottle :/ he never does this! Even when he was on milk strike it was the only milk he'd take without a fuss!

Had to give in & give him booby, couldn't just watch him be upset knowing full well what he wanted. It was a lush feed though, one of those that really reminds you why you do it, just fed beautifully, looking up at me, fell asleep holding my hand and emptied my boobys nicely, so can't complain!

Will see what tonight holds now though!

Fx he sleeps well. Hannah is feeding all evening. As usual. Insatiable!!!

I just did the breastmilk up the nose! She hated it ;-)

Dammit completely forgot to do the nose thing! Too late now, will just have to do it later tonight if he needs it. Yay for daytime nap and being able to drive Bex! I used to have some lovely naps when I was pregnant, but really struggle to fall asleep now, even when I am so ridiculously exhausted! I usually just lay there with baby as I figured it would help more than suddenly trying to do housework etc.
Aww bless Harrison wanting mummies milk! Max is the opposite and usually fusses at the breast now! Too much like hard work compared to a bottle xxx

J down at 9.20. Didnt manage his 2.30 again last night n woke at 1.30. Luckily woke nearer to 6 though. Prob another night the same! Not too bad.

Have a good one xx

Good evening ladies. We're up for our first feed. Really hope she goes back down ok as she had her second lot of jabs yesterday and has just been crying if she wasn't feeding or sleeping.

I'm still feeding. I swear my boobs must be running on fumes. My nipples kill! X

Henry went down at 10 so I went to bed then too but couldn't sleep because he was so loud! His can he make that amount of noise?! Woke at midnight for a feed so I'm really hoping he'll do a decent stretch now cos I'm shattered and we are meeting friends in the morning so I can't just stay in bed in the morning x

Hi ladies, we're up for first feed since 10. Nit too bad but just so weird that his routine completely changed. It used to be a 3:30/4:30 wake up so I thought we were heading for sleeping through soon! No such luck, now wakes 1:30/2:30 and again at 5! Fab!
Hope there is some lovely sleep going on elsewhere xxx

Sounds like a lovely feed Sara :-) wonder why he was refusing the bottle though?
Bex, is Hannah less snuffly now?
Hope JJ sticks to a good routine Kelly :-)

Sophie sorry to hear your LOs not been great following jabs. Hopefully a good nights sleep will help...we can dream eh :-P

Besmall...isn't it insane the amount of noise these tiny tiny things can make!

Hannah usually has a really bad nose by now but it's clear.... Thumbs up for the breastmilk snorting so far!

She woke up about 3.30am which as she didn't sleep till 12.30am ish isn't great! I held her hand for ages hoping she'd drop back off but no luck. I just wish she was a faster feeder!

Hello ladies
Far is all snotty too ;/ she slept 10 to 4-30 tonight but was a little disturbed but really good for her. Hopefully we can keeo this up and drop the pesky night feed xx

mummy to ds 11/7/11
mummy to dd 16/9/13

Wow that's great Constantstar! I thought Hannah was going to keep up the 5 hours but looking less likely the more times she doesn't. At least she does sometimes I guess!

Morning ladies! Thought I'd drop in. My lo is suffering with reflux so feeding is a nightmare :(

He's only taking between 1-2oz every couple of hours (he's 4 weeks) so VERY tired at the moment.

Hope you and your lo's are all well xx
